Job description

• We are looking for a highly skilled Personal Service Technician (PST) to join our Polestar Service Center team. This role combines advanced diagnostic and repair expertise with direct customer interaction, ensuring a seamless service experience from booking to vehicle handover. The PST is responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining vehicles to Polestar and Al-Futtaim standards while delivering exceptional customer satisfaction, first-time fix rates, and workshop productivity. What you will do: • Manage the complete customer journey from service booking and appointment scheduling to vehicle handover and invoicing. • Perform advanced diagnostics, repairs, periodic maintenance, and accessory fitment in accordance with Polestar repair manuals and standards. • Utilize advanced diagnostic tools to identify and resolve vehicle faults efficiently. • Ensure compliance with the Fix It Right (FIR) process to achieve first-time repair targets and high customer satisfaction. • Handle work order administration, including warranty, goodwill, leasing, and insurance-related documentation. • Maintain accurate Electronic Vehicle Checks (EVC) and technical reporting. • Support workshop productivity targets and deliver vehicles within promised timelines. • Ensure workshop tools and diagnostic equipment are maintained, calibrated, and up to date. • Adhere to HSSE, 5S, and Polestar quality standards. • Mentor and support junior technicians while contributing to technical capability development across the workshop. • Required skills to be successful: • Advanced vehicle diagnostic and fault-finding expertise. • Strong customer-facing and communication skills. • Ability to explain technical issues in a clear and professional manner. • Proficiency in using OEM diagnostic systems, special service tools, and workshop equipment. • Strong understanding of automotive electrical, mechanical, and electronic systems. • Knowledge of warranty procedures, repair processes, and workshop operations. • Ability to interpret wiring diagrams, repair manuals, and technical documentation. • Strong organizational and administrative skills. • Commitment to safety, quality, and customer satisfaction. • Team-player mindset with the ability to coach and support colleagues. Qualifications • IMI Light Vehicle Master Technician (Level 3-4) or equivalent. • Advanced OEM certification such as Diagnostic Master, Gold Technician, Level 3, or equivalent. Experience • Minimum 6-7 years of experience as a Light Vehicle Technician. • At least 2 years of experience as a Diagnostic Technician. • Previous experience in a customer-facing automotive service environment or Service Advisor exposure is highly desirable. • Experience working within an automotive dealership is preferred. Knowledge & Competencies • Technical diagnostic expertise and advanced repair capability. • Customer relationship management skills. • Knowledge of OEM and distributor workshop standards. • Strong written and verbal communication skills. • Ability to prepare technical reports and diagnostic findings. • Good PC literacy and familiarity with Dealer Management Systems. • Valid driving license.
