Job description
The People & Culture Intern will gain hands-on exposure to the People & Culture function, supporting the team across onboarding, HR administration, employee relations, and learning & development. This is a learning-focused role designed to build a strong foundation in HR operations while contributing to the day-to-day running of the department. Essential Duties and Responsibilities : Support the onboarding and offboarding process, including preparing new hire materials, coordinating logistics, and helping ensure new joiners have the resources they need. Assist with maintaining accurate and up-to-date employee records and HRIS data entry. Help prepare monthly HR reports and support ad hoc reporting requests as needed. Support the People & Culture team with letter writing, contract drafting, and other administrative tasks, helping keep templates current. Assist with generating and organizing people data reports, helping surface insights on key HR metrics such as turnover, engagement, and headcount. Support the coordination and scheduling of performance review meetings and probation review follow-ups. Help maintain records of performance evaluations and feedback. Serve as a friendly first point of contact for routine employee questions on HR policies, procedures, and benefits, escalating more complex matters as needed. Support the communication and distribution of HR policy updates, and help track compliance with mandatory training and certifications. Assist with benefits administration tasks, including responding to employee questions and supporting enrolments and changes. Support payroll coordination tasks, such as collating documentation and assisting with the creation of POs and vendor records. Help coordinate employee recognition programs and the distribution of awards and incentives. Provide administrative support for talent management and succession planning documentation. Coordinate training logistics, including scheduling, material preparation, and room setup, and help maintain training records. Support the wider People & Culture team on ad hoc projects, including people analytics, engagement, and learning & development initiatives.
Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Psychology, or a related field. A genuine interest in building a career in HR/People & Culture, with enthusiasm for learning end-to-end HR processes. Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to handle sensitive information with discretion. Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook). Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
