Pediatric Nurse – Nanny Department\- VVVIP Family \| Job Summary Reports to: Head Nanny Department: Childcare Department Responsible for: Health, safety, hygiene and wellbeing of 2 children (under 2 years old) The Pediatric Nurse is part of the nanny team and participates in normal childcare duties while taking primary responsibility within the department for monitoring and maintaining the children’s day\-to\-day health, safety, hygiene and healthy habits. Candidate Main Responsibilities \* Daily Wellbeing: Observe the children’s general health, energy, behavior, appetite, hydration, sleep and physical wellbeing and identify any unusual changes or signs of illness. \* Health Monitoring: Monitor fever, cough, congestion, rashes, vomiting, diarrhea, injuries, unusual tiredness, feeding concerns and other symptoms and promptly report concerns. \* Illness Care: Provide appropriate care and closer observation when a child is sick or recovering and follow parents’ and pediatrician’s instructions. \* Medication: Safely administer authorized medication according to the correct dose and timing, maintain medication records and ensure medicines are properly stored and within expiry dates. \* Hygiene \& Infection Prevention: Maintain and supervise excellent hygiene standards for the children, bottles, feeding equipment, pacifiers, changing areas, bedrooms, play areas and children’s personal items. \* Staff Hygiene: Ensure all nannies working with the children consistently follow proper handwashing, food/feeding hygiene, diaper\-changing hygiene and infection\-prevention practices. Correct unsafe or unhygienic practices when necessary. \* Healthy Habits: Encourage good handwashing, dental hygiene, bathing, healthy eating, hydration, sleep, outdoor safety and other age\-appropriate healthy habits. \* Child Safety: Regularly identify and correct potential hazards including choking risks, medicines, chemicals, sharp objects, hot items, falls, burns, drowning risks and other age\-related dangers. \* Safe Infant Care: Ensure age\-appropriate safe sleeping, feeding and general infant\-safety practices are consistently followed. \* First Aid \& Emergencies: Maintain pediatric First Aid and CPR knowledge, respond calmly to emergencies and immediately escalate situations requiring medical attention. \* Medical Organization: Keep medicines, thermometers, first\-aid equipment and other health supplies clean, organized, safely stored and regularly checked. \* Inventory: Monitor medical, first\-aid and hygiene supplies and notify the Head Nanny in advance when items need replacement or purchasing. \* Documentation: Maintain clear records of illnesses, injuries, medications and important health observations when required. \* Communication \& Handover: Clearly communicate relevant health information and instructions to the Head Nanny and other caregivers during handovers. \* Team Guidance: Use her pediatric background to guide and educate other nannies on health, hygiene, safety and illness\-prevention practices and lead by example. \* Escalation: Immediately report significant concerns such as breathing difficulties, fever, allergic reactions, injuries, persistent vomiting/diarrhea, unusual rashes, abnormal behavior, reduced feeding/drinking or medication errors. \* Professional Boundaries: Never independently diagnose, change medication doses, start/stop treatment or override medical instructions. When uncertain, escalate the matter. \* Teamwork: Work cooperatively with all nannies, participate in normal childcare duties and follow the routines, standards and instructions established by the parents and Head Nanny. \* Reporting Structure: The Pediatric Nurse provides pediatric health and safety expertise but works under the authority and management of the Head Nanny. Expected Qualities The Pediatric Nurse must be highly organized, observant, proactive, responsible, hygiene\-conscious, detail\-oriented, calm under pressure, gentle with children, professional, trustworthy and a strong team player. She should always aim to prevent problems before they occur, notice changes early, maintain excellent health and hygiene standards, and immediately escalate anything concerning. Pay: AED3,000\.00 \- AED6,000\.00 per month Work Location: In person
