PDCO Pump Driver cum Operator

Job Summary We are seeking a reliable and safety-conscious Pump Driver cum Operator (PDCO) to operate, maintain, and transport pumping equipment to project sites. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring efficient pump operations, performing routine inspections, and complying with all company safety and operational procedures. Key Responsibilities • Safely drive company pump vehicles and equipment to and from project sites. • Set up, operate, monitor, and dismantle pumping equipment as required. • Conduct pre-start, operational, and post-operation inspections of vehicles and pumps. • Perform routine maintenance and basic troubleshooting of pumps and associated equipment. • Maintain accurate records of daily operations, fuel consumption, maintenance, and inspection reports. • Ensure compliance with traffic regulations, company policies, and HSE standards. • Coordinate with site supervisors and project teams to ensure smooth operations. • Report equipment faults, breakdowns, accidents, or safety concerns promptly. • Keep vehicles and equipment clean and in good working condition. • Assist with loading, unloading, and securing equipment and materials. • Follow customer site requirements and maintain professional conduct at all times. Qualifications • High school diploma or equivalent. • Valid heavy vehicle driving license (as required by local regulations). • Certification or training in pump operation is an advantage. • Minimum 2 5 years of relevant experience operating industrial or concrete pumping equipment (or similar equipment). • Basic mechanical knowledge and troubleshooting skills. • Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends or overtime when required. Required Skills • Safe driving and equipment handling. • Knowledge of pump operations and maintenance. • Basic mechanical and technical troubleshooting. • Strong communication and teamwork skills. • Good time management and organizational abilities. • Ability to work under pressure and meet project deadlines. • Commitment to workplace safety and quality standards. Physical Requirements • Ability to lift and handle equipment and materials safely. • Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions. • Physically fit to stand, bend, climb, and perform manual tasks for extended periods.
