Passenger Systems Engineer

**Job Purpose** --------------- Responsible for the safe, reliable, and uninterrupted operation, maintenance, and lifecycle management of all Passenger Sensitive Equipment (PSE) within the airport terminals, ensuring compliance with airport regulations, safety standards, contractual KPIs, and manufacturer requirements. **Scope** --------- Passenger elevators, escalators, travelators, moving walkways, automatic sliding doors, revolving doors, swing doors, shutter doors, rubber doors, security doors, access control doors, and associated control systems. **Key Responsibilities** ------------------------ Plan and supervise preventive, predictive, corrective, and reactive maintenance. Respond to equipment failures and restore service within contractual response times. Conduct inspections, troubleshooting, testing, and root cause analysis. Manage contractors, OEMs, and service providers. Maintain asset records, CAFM updates, and technical reports. Ensure compliance with HSE, GACA, OEM standards, and airport procedures. Monitor KPIs, asset performance, and recommend lifecycle replacements. Support terminal operations while minimizing passenger disruption. **Minimum Qualifications** -------------------------- Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Mechatronics, or Electromechanical Engineering. **Experience** -------------- Minimum 8 years in Facilities Management or Building Services, including at least 5 years maintaining elevators, escalators, travelators, automatic doors, or similar passenger\-sensitive equipment in airports, metro systems, hospitals, malls, or other critical facilities. **Preferred Courses \& Certifications** --------------------------------------- OEM certification, LOTO, Working at Heights, Electrical Safety, Permit to Work, First Aid, CMRP or ISO 55001 are advantageous. **Skills** ---------- Strong knowledge of VHTS, automatic door systems, PLCs, motor controls, CMMS/CAFM, asset management, fault diagnosis, root cause analysis, contractor management, and stakeholder communication. **Language** ------------ Excellent spoken and written English is mandatory. Arabic is an advantage.
