Paint Manager – Joinery

The Paint Manager will be responsible for managing all paint shop operations within the Joinery Factory, ensuring superior finishing quality for bespoke joinery and interior fit-out products. The role involves planning, supervising, and optimizing painting processes, managing paint shop personnel, ensuring quality standards, and delivering finished products in accordance with project schedules. The ideal candidate must have extensive experience in wood finishing, polishing, veneer, PU, polyester, melamine, and specialty coating systems used in luxury interior fit-out and joinery manufacturing. Key Responsibilities Manage the day-to-day operations of the Paint Shop, ensuring production targets are achieved safely and efficiently. Plan, organize, and supervise all painting, polishing, staining, lacquering, and finishing activities for joinery products. Monitor production schedules and coordinate with Production, Planning, QC, and Project teams to meet project delivery deadlines. Ensure consistent finishing quality for wood, veneer, MDF, laminate, and other joinery products in line with project specifications. Select appropriate paint systems, coatings, stains, primers, sealers, and finishing materials based on project requirements. Supervise paint mixing, color matching, sample approvals, and finish consistency. Maintain strict quality control standards and inspect finished products before dispatch. Optimize paint consumption, reduce material wastage, and improve production efficiency. Ensure proper maintenance of spray booths, sanding equipment, compressors, spray guns, polishing machines, and other paint shop equipment. Enforce health, safety, and environmental regulations related to paint storage, handling, ventilation, and hazardous materials. Train, mentor, and supervise painters, polishers, and paint shop technicians while maintaining high productivity and workmanship standards. Coordinate with procurement for paint materials, consumables, and vendor support when required. Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Wood Technology, Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Interior Design, or a related field. Professional certifications in industrial coating or wood finishing are an advantage. Experience Minimum 10+ years of experience in Joinery Manufacturing or Interior Fit-Out, with at least 5 years of dedicated experience managing Paint Shop operations. Proven experience in luxury joinery, bespoke furniture, millwork, and interior fit-out manufacturing. UAE/GCC experience is highly preferred. Excellent leadership and team management skills with the ability to supervise paint shop personnel effectively. Strong problem-solving abilities with a focus on quality, productivity, and continuous improvement. Experience with leading UAE/GCC joinery or interior fit-out manufacturers is highly preferred.
