StoneX is seeking a commercially driven and relationship\-focused sales professional to join its OTC \& Clearing business covering the MENA region. The role is responsible for originating new business opportunities, onboarding clients, and expanding StoneX's presence across the oil and refined products markets.
The successful candidate will develop and maintain relationships with market participants throughout the oil value chain, delivering execution, clearing and risk management solutions across OTC and exchange\-traded markets.
Responsibilities:
Business Development \& Client Relationship Management* Develop and maintain relationships with participants across the oil and refined products value chain, including producers, oil majors, refiners, trading houses, marketers, distributors, physical merchants, commercial consumers and financial institutions active in energy markets.
* Originate, onboard and develop new OTC and listed derivatives clients across the MENA region.
* Generate new business revenue through client acquisition, relationship development and cross\-selling opportunities across the broader StoneX platform.
* Actively promote the StoneX brand through client engagement, industry events, conferences, trade shows and market visits.
* Build and maintain a strong network within the regional and international energy markets.
* Identify new markets, products, technologies and commercial opportunities that support business growth.
Sales \& Market Coverage* Provide clients with efficient access to OTC and exchange\-traded energy markets, supporting their hedging, execution and clearing requirements across crude oil and refined product markets.
* Provide clients with timely market insights, daily market reports and market intelligence covering crude oil and refined product markets.
* Deliver exceptional execution and clearing services, ensuring clients have efficient access to the liquidity, products and support required to manage their trading and hedging activities.
* Develop and maintain detailed knowledge of global and regional crude oil and refined product markets, with particular focus on the ICE Futures Europe Oil and Refined
Products suite, associated OTC markets, and commercial drivers across the supply chain.* Maintain an up\-to\-date understanding of market developments, pricing dynamics and industry fundamentals relevant to clients and the broader energy sector.
* Develop and maintain a detailed understanding of the commercial exposures, hedging requirements and operational drivers of participants across the crude oil and refined products value chain.
Cross\-Asset Collaboration \& Cross\-Selling* Identify opportunities to introduce clients to broader StoneX capabilities where appropriate.
* Work in partnership with specialist teams across commodities and other business lines to deliver comprehensive client solutions.
* Develop a strong understanding of StoneX's wider capabilities to identify opportunities that enhance client value and support broader business growth.
* Act as a trusted point of contact for clients, connecting them with relevant StoneX specialists when opportunities arise across complementary products and services.
Operational, Risk \& Compliance Responsibilities* Support pre\- and post\-trade processes, including client onboarding, trade booking, reconciliation and related operational activities.
* Maintain awareness of the firm's risk and compliance culture and adhere to all applicable internal policies and procedures.
* Exercise sound judgement and act with integrity, responsibility, skill and diligence in all aspects of the role.
* Understand key business risks and associated control frameworks, ensuring risks are appropriately managed and escalated where necessary.
* Escalate risk events and operational issues immediately through appropriate internal channels and report incidents in accordance with company policy.
* Observe all relevant regulatory, exchange and clearing house requirements applicable to the role.
* Complete all mandatory training and compliance requirements within prescribed deadlines.
Qualifications:
Knowledge, Skills \& Experience* Proven experience in commodities, energy sales, brokerage, clearing or derivatives markets.
* Strong understanding of crude oil and refined products markets and the participants that operate throughout the value chain.
* Knowledge of futures, options, swaps, OTC markets and exchange\-traded derivatives.
* Demonstrated ability to build relationships, generate new business and manage client accounts.
* Excellent communication, negotiation and presentation skills.
* Strong analytical and problem\-solving abilities.
* High attention to detail with the ability to operate effectively in a fast\-paced environment.
* Self\-motivated, commercially minded and capable of working both independently and as part of a team.
Preferred Experience* Direct experience in crude oil and refined products markets is strongly preferred.
* Candidates with relevant experience in adjacent commodity derivatives markets may be considered where they can demonstrate a strong understanding of physical commodity markets, commercial hedging requirements and transferable client relationships.
* Existing relationships with energy market participants across the MENA region would be advantageous.
* Familiarity with ICE Futures Europe Oil and Refined Products contracts and related OTC markets.
* Fluency in Arabic or another regional language would be beneficial.
Qualifications* Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Business, Engineering or a related discipline preferred.
* Relevant industry registrations or certifications (FCA, DFSA, NFA, SCA or equivalent) advantageous.
* Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and market analysis tools.
