Job description

Operational Oversight • Supervise all branch activities to ensure smooth and profitable operations. • Monitor shelf availability and ensure timely replenishment. • Manage daily ordering of fresh items and other categories to maintain stock levels. • Conduct 3–4 daily rounds of the store to check expiry dates, zone maintenance, and overall standards. • Ensure fresh items quality is checked daily to avoid customer complaints. Sales & Financial Performance • Monitor and work towards achieving branch sales targets. • Push and motivate the team to maximize financial outcomes from the store. • Analyze sales trends and implement strategies to improve revenue and profitability. • Coordinate with department heads to ensure category wise sales growth and margin achievement. Compliance & Standards • Ensure expiry checks on shelves and warehouse are completed regularly. • Maintain departmental displays according to visual merchandising standards. • Implement and enforce the store checklist for hygiene, safety, and operational compliance. Staff Management • Assign and monitor staff duties across departments. • Ensure staff complete daily operational tasks (expiry checks, zone maintenance, replenishment). • Prepare weekly staff schedules with department heads, aligned to requirements and rush hours. • Provide training and guidance to uphold company standards. Procurement & Inventory • Work closely with procurement teams to monitor item availability, especially seasonal and fast moving products. • Ensure proper stock rotation and minimize wastage. • Track demand trends and adjust ordering accordingly. Customer Service • Guarantee the best customer service experience through well stocked shelves, clean zones, and fresh product quality. • Resolve customer complaints promptly and professionally. • Support promotional campaigns and seasonal events. • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Retail Management, or related field. • Minimum 7+ years in retail/FMCG management. • Strong leadership, organizational, and problem solving skills. • Knowledge of expiry control, merchandising, procurement coordination, and fresh product quality standards. • Ability to thrive in a high volume, fast paced environment.
