OPERATIONAL RISK MANAGEMENT (ORM) CONSULTANT

OPERATIONAL RISK MANAGEMENT (ORM) CONSULTANT We are seeking an experienced Operational Risk Management (ORM) Consultant to support digital transformation initiatives by identifying operational risks, strengthening control frameworks, and ensuring effective risk governance across banking products, processes, and services. This is a full-time position based in Qatar. QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE • Bachelor's degree in Banking, Finance, Risk Management, or a related discipline • Minimum 10 years of experience within a financial institution, including 5 years in Operational Risk Management at a mid-to-senior level • Experience supporting digital transformation, banking projects, or technology-enabled initiatives from an operational risk perspective • Proven knowledge of Risk and Control Self-Assessment (RCSA), Key Risk Indicators (KRIs), incident management, and control testing • Familiarity with governance, risk, and compliance (GRC) frameworks; relevant GRC certifications are preferred • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Operational Risk Management systems SKILLS & COMPETENCIES • Expertise in reviewing business requirements, user stories, functional specifications, and operating procedures to identify operational risks • Capable of conducting operational risk assessments, control evaluations, and remediation planning • Adept at developing and maintaining RCSA frameworks, KRIs, control testing plans, and risk registers • Experience analyzing operational risk incidents, identifying root causes, and driving corrective actions • Effective collaboration with digital transformation teams, business units, and second-line risk functions • Strong analytical thinking with the ability to influence stakeholders and promote a risk-aware culture • Excellent communication, documentation, and executive reporting capabilities .
