Operation Manager

About Ajil ājil is a tech\-enabled last\-mile delivery company in Qatar, running a fleet of 400\+ drivers across multiple client projects for leading retail, grocery, QSR and e\-commerce brands. We combine our own rider app and dispatch technology with on\-ground execution to deliver fast, reliable service at scale. The Role We're looking for a hands\-on Operations Manager to lead a 400\+ driver fleet and run multiple client projects at the same time. You'll own day\-to\-day execution, SLA delivery and scaling of the operation, reporting directly to the Managing Director. Key Responsibilities * Manage a fleet of 400\+ drivers, including shift planning, rostering and driver allocation across all projects * Run multiple client projects in parallel, each with its own SLAs, staffing plan and reporting * Allocate and rebalance drivers between projects based on demand, peak days and new launches * Own operational KPIs per project and overall: on\-time delivery, success rate, orders per driver, fleet utilization and cost per order * Act as the main operations contact for clients, handling escalations, performance reviews and SLA reporting * Lead driver onboarding, training, performance management and discipline, working with HR and PRO * Manage vehicle compliance and maintenance, including Istimara, insurance, accidents and traffic violations * Oversee COD cash collection and daily reconciliation with finance * Work with the tech team to improve dispatch, batching and the rider app based on ground feedback * Build and lead a team of project leads, supervisors, dispatchers and coordinators * Produce daily, weekly and monthly operations reports and drive cost control Requirements * 5–8 years in last\-mile, 3PL, quick commerce or food delivery operations, with at least 3 years managing teams * Proven track record managing fleets of 300\+ drivers across multiple clients or projects simultaneously * GCC experience required; Qatar experience strongly preferred * Strong command of KPIs and data, with advanced Excel/Google Sheets skills * Comfortable with dispatch systems, rider apps and delivery platforms * Valid Qatar driving license * Fluent English; Arabic, Urdu or Hindi is a strong advantage * Currently in Qatar with a transferable visa/NOC preferred What We Offer * Competitive salary and benefits * Direct exposure to leadership in a fast\-growing company * The chance to shape operations as Ajil scales across Qatar How to Apply Send your CV to with the subject line "Operations Manager – \[Your Name]".
