Job description

We are seeking a highly skilled Network Engineer with deep expertise in Cisco networking technologies, including routing, switching, and security. The candidate will act as a Subject Matter Expert (SME), handling complex escalations, designing robust network solutions, and ensuring stable enterprise and data center operations. Role & responsibilities Act as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) for network routing and switching issues and handle high-priority escalations. Design, implement, and troubleshoot complex enterprise and data center network environments. Configure and support Cisco routing protocols including: BGP OSPF EIGRP Manage and troubleshoot switching technologies, including: Layer 2 protocols STP (Spanning Tree Protocol) vPC, VSS HSRP Switch stacking Work extensively on Cisco platforms such as: Catalyst switches Nexus switches Configure and troubleshoot Cisco ACI (Application Centric Infrastructure) environments. Manage IP/MPLS networks, including: MPLS L2 & L3 MPLS VPNs Inter-AS MPLS VPN QoS Support and optimize WAN technologies, including exposure to SD-WAN solutions. Plan and deploy new network solutions to enhance flexibility and scalability. Perform network upgrades and migrations to stable platforms. Conduct capacity planning, audits, and optimization of IP network infrastructure. Adapt to and troubleshoot multiple networking environments effectively. Strong hands-on experience in Cisco Routing, Switching, and Security. Proven experience managing enterprise and data center networks. Deep knowledge of: Routing protocols (BGP, OSPF, EIGRP) Switching technologies (STP, vPC, VSS, HSRP) Expertise in Cisco hardware (Catalyst, Nexus). Experience with Cisco ACI architecture and operations. Strong exposure to IP/MPLS networking and WAN technologies. Ability to troubleshoot complex network issues and drive resolution independently. Experience in network design, planning, and operations. Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills. Preferred Qualifications CCIE (Cisco Certified Internetwork Expert) certification is highly preferred. Nice to Have Experience with SD-WAN technologies. Exposure to network automation and scripting (e.g., Python, Ansible). Experience in large-scale or distributed network environments.
