Job description

• Develop, review, approve, and implement NDT procedures, techniques, and inspection methodologies in accordance with project specifications and applicable international standards. • Provide technical leadership and guidance to NDT Level I and Level II personnel and support their qualification and competency development. • Establish and maintain NDT quality systems, inspection plans, and technical documentation. • Review and interpret NDT examination results, ensuring compliance with applicable acceptance criteria. • Provide technical support for conventional and advanced NDT methods, including Radiographic Testing (RT), Ultrasonic Testing (UT), Phased Array Ultrasonic Testing (PAUT), Time of Flight Diffraction (TOFD), Magnetic Particle Testing (MT), Liquid Penetrant Testing (PT), Visual Testing (VT), Eddy Current Testing (ECT), Positive Material Identification (PMI), and Hardness Testing. • Support welding quality control activities by reviewing Welding Procedure Specifications (WPS), Procedure Qualification Records (PQR), and Welder Performance Qualifications (WPQ). • Investigate inspection anomalies, evaluate non-conformities, and recommend corrective and preventive actions. • Review Inspection and Test Plans (ITPs), quality plans, and project specifications to ensure appropriate NDT requirements are incorporated. • Conduct technical audits of NDT operations, subcontractors, and inspection personnel. • Verify calibration, maintenance, and performance of NDT equipment and ensure compliance with applicable standards. • Prepare and review technical reports, inspection summaries, and project quality documentation. • Coordinate with QA/QC engineers, welding engineers, integrity engineers, clients, and third-party inspection agencies. • Participate in project planning, commissioning, shutdowns, turnarounds, fitness-for-service assessments, and asset integrity programs. • Promote continuous improvement, knowledge sharing, and implementation of industry best practices. • Bachelor's Degree or Diploma in Mechanical Engineering, Metallurgical Engineering, Materials Engineering, or a related technical discipline. • ASNT Level III certification or ISO 9712 Level III certification in one or more NDT methods. • Additional certifications such as AWS Certified Welding Inspector (CWI), API 510, API 570, API 653, or CSWIP are highly desirable. • Radiation Safety Officer (RSO) certification is preferred for radiographic testing activities. • Minimum 3-10 years of experience in NDT and quality assurance within the oil and gas, petrochemical, refinery, power generation, or heavy industrial sectors. • Extensive experience supporting fabrication, construction, maintenance, shutdown, turnaround, and asset integrity projects. • Proven experience providing technical leadership for NDT programs and multidisciplinary inspection teams. • Experience working with major operating companies and EPC contractors is highly desirable. Technical Knowledge • ASME Boiler and Pressure Vessel Code (Sections V, VIII, and IX) • API 510, API 570, API 653, and relevant API inspection standards • ASTM, ISO, and EN standards applicable to NDT • ASNT SNT-TC-1A, ANSI/ASNT CP-189, and ISO 9712 certification requirements • Welding inspection and quality assurance principles • Inspection and Test Plans (ITPs) • Advanced NDT technologies and digital inspection systems • Risk-Based Inspection (RBI) and asset integrity management principles • Quality Management Systems (ISO 9001)
