Multi-Skilled Civil Technician

**Job Brief** We are looking for a skilled and experienced **Multi\-Skilled Civil Technician** to carry out a wide range of civil maintenance and repair works across commercial, residential, and industrial facilities. The successful candidate must possess hands\-on experience in **painting, carpentry, tile fixing, gypsum works, and masonry** while ensuring all work is completed safely, efficiently, and to a high\-quality standard. The ideal candidate should be capable of handling multiple civil maintenance tasks independently and responding promptly to corrective and preventive maintenance requirements. **Key Responsibilities** * Perform general civil maintenance and repair works in buildings and facilities. * Carry out interior and exterior painting, including surface preparation, patching, priming, and finishing. * Perform carpentry works such as repairing and installing wooden doors, cabinets, shelves, partitions, furniture, locks, and fittings. * Install, repair, and replace ceramic, porcelain, and other types of floor and wall tiles. * Carry out gypsum works, including installation and repair of gypsum board partitions, false ceilings, bulkheads, and decorative finishes. * Perform masonry works such as block work, plastering, concrete repairs, screeding, rendering, and brickwork. * Identify defects and recommend appropriate repair solutions. * Read and interpret basic drawings, layouts, and work instructions. * Use hand tools, power tools, and construction equipment safely and effectively. * Ensure all work complies with company quality standards and safety regulations. * Maintain cleanliness of the work area after completing tasks. * Report material requirements and equipment defects to the supervisor. * Respond promptly to emergency maintenance requests. * Coordinate with supervisors and other maintenance trades whenever required. * Complete assigned preventive and corrective maintenance jobs within the required timeframe. **Job Requirements** **Education** * High School Certificate, Technical Diploma, ITI, or equivalent vocational qualification in Civil Works, Building Maintenance, or a related trade. **Experience** * Minimum **3\-5 years** of experience in building maintenance, facility management, construction, or a similar environment. * Proven hands\-on experience in: * Painting * Carpentry * Tile Fixing * Gypsum Works * Masonry **Technical Skills** * Knowledge of building maintenance procedures and finishing works. * Ability to perform multiple civil trades with minimal supervision. * Familiarity with civil maintenance tools and equipment. * Ability to read basic construction drawings and measurements. * Good understanding of preventive and corrective maintenance practices. * Knowledge of workplace health and safety requirements. **Competencies** * Multi\-skilled and adaptable. * Strong problem\-solving abilities. * Good workmanship and attention to detail. * Ability to work independently and as part of a team. * Time management and organizational skills. * Physically fit to perform manual work. * Positive attitude and willingness to respond to emergency maintenance calls. **Preferred Qualifications** * Experience working in a **Facility Management (FM)** company. * Experience maintaining commercial buildings, offices, hospitals, malls, hotels, or residential compounds. * Valid Qatari driving license (preferred but not mandatory). * Basic communication skills in English; Arabic or Hindi/Urdu is an advantage. **Working Conditions** * Indoor and outdoor maintenance activities. * May be required to work overtime, weekends, or on\-call during emergencies. * Use of personal protective equipment (PPE) is mandatory. * Frequent lifting, climbing, bending, and working at heights when required.
