MEP QC Inspector-1

Location: Oman Employment Type: Full\-Time **Al Bany International Oman** seeking an experienced and detail\-oriented **MEP QC Inspector** to oversee quality control activities for Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing (MEP) works across building and infrastructure projects. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring that all MEP installations comply with project specifications, approved quality plans, and applicable international standards throughout construction, testing, and commissioning. **Key Responsibilities** * Review and approve Quality Control Plans (QCP), Inspection \& Test Plans (ITPs), procedures, and method statements before construction activities commence. * Perform inspections of HVAC, plumbing, drainage, firefighting, and electrical installations, including ducting, chillers, AHUs, piping, cabling, panels, and earthing systems. * Verify that all MEP works comply with approved shop drawings, project specifications, and international codes and standards. * Witness and verify pressure testing, duct leakage testing, cable insulation resistance testing, and other required inspection and testing activities. * Conduct material receipt inspections and verify Material Test Certificates (MTCs) and Material Acceptance Sheets (MAS) for compliance with project requirements. * Ensure equipment is stored and preserved in accordance with vendor recommendations and verify calibration status of all measuring and testing equipment. * Identify quality deficiencies, issue Non\-Conformance Reports (NCRs), and monitor corrective actions through to closure. * Participate in mechanical completion, pre\-commissioning activities, functional testing, and system commissioning. * Raise and verify punch list items, maintain quality records, and monitor contractor and vendor quality performance. * Support quality audits and ensure compliance with HSE requirements and company quality standards. **Qualifications \& Experience** * Diploma/ Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline. * Minimum 8 years of experience in quality control inspection for real estate construction and MEP projects. * Proven experience inspecting HVAC, plumbing, drainage, firefighting, and electrical systems. * Strong understanding of QA/QC inspection processes, installation methodologies, and material inspection requirements. * Experience reviewing technical specifications, contracts, purchase orders, and quality documentation. **Technical Requirements** * Good knowledge of international standards and codes, including ASHRAE, NFPA, IEC, IPC, and other relevant MEP standards. * Sound knowledge of welding and joining techniques, including WPS/PQRs and welder qualifications. * Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, shop drawings, specifications, and technical documents. * Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and project documentation systems. * Strong troubleshooting, analytical, and interpersonal skills. * Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English. * Willingness to travel to project sites as required. **What We Offer** * Opportunity to work on prestigious construction and infrastructure projects. * Professional growth and career development. * Competitive salary and benefits package. * Dynamic and collaborative work environment.
