Mechanical Engineer – HVAC Retrofit Projects (Dubai Experience Required)

**Job Summary** We are seeking an experienced Mechanical Engineer with a strong background in HVAC retrofit and replacement projects within Dubai. The ideal candidate will have hands\-on experience in planning, executing, and managing retrofit works involving FAHUs, AHUs, chillers, district cooling systems, pumps, piping, and associated HVAC equipment in commercial, residential, hospitality, and industrial buildings. **Key Responsibilities** · Manage HVAC retrofit and replacement projects from planning through commissioning. · Conduct site surveys and technical assessments of existing HVAC systems. · Prepare technical proposals, method statements, project schedules, and material submittals. · Supervise the replacement of: o Fresh Air Handling Units (FAHUs) o Air Handling Units (AHUs) o Chillers (Air\-Cooled \& Water\-Cooled) o District Cooling Heat Exchanger Stations o Pumps, piping, valves, and associated HVAC equipment · Coordinate with consultants, clients, contractors, suppliers, and authorities. · Review engineering drawings, specifications, and shop drawings. · Ensure compliance with local regulations, consultant specifications, and industry standards. · Monitor project progress, quality, safety, and budget. · Coordinate testing, balancing, commissioning, and project handover. · Resolve technical issues encountered during retrofit activities. · Prepare project reports and maintain project documentation. **Qualifications** · Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering. · 2\-5 years of experience in HVAC retrofit projects, with significant experience in Dubai. · Strong knowledge of chilled water systems and district cooling networks. · Proven experience in replacement projects for FAHUs, AHUs, chillers, and related HVAC systems. · Familiarity with Dubai Municipality, DEWA, Civil Defense, and district cooling operator requirements. · Ability to interpret mechanical drawings and HVAC schematics. · Proficiency in AutoCAD and Microsoft Office. Knowledge of Revit MEP and project planning software is an advantage. **Skills** · Strong project management and coordination skills. · Excellent technical troubleshooting abilities. · Good communication and client management skills. · Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously. · Strong understanding of HVAC design principles, retrofit methodologies, and commissioning processes. · Knowledge of health, safety, and quality standards applicable to construction and MEP projects. **Preferred Experience** · Experience with district cooling providers in the UAE. · Experience in occupied\-building retrofit works with minimal operational disruption. · UAE Driving License is most preferred. · Immediate availability is an advantage. **Performance based incentives in addition to salary.** Pay: AED4,000\.00 \- AED7,000\.00 per month Work Location: Hybrid remote in Dubai (Dubai)
