Mechanical Engineer

The Mechanical Engineer (Tagging Engineer) is responsible for preparing duct tagging, CAMduct input, detailed shop drawings, and providing technical support related to HVAC ductwork systems in accordance with project specifications, SMACNA standards, and DW144 requirements. The role also includes handling ATAI accessories and coordinating engineering activities to ensure accurate production drawings and project execution. Key Responsibilities • Prepare duct tagging and CAMduct input for production. • Develop detailed shop drawings and fabrication drawings for HVAC ductwork systems. • Review project drawings, specifications, and technical requirements. • Provide technical support and guidance related to SMACNA and DW144 standards. • Prepare and review material take-offs and project quantities. • Handle engineering details and shop drawings for ATAI accessories including: ➢ Dampers ➢ Air Stacks ➢ Louvers ➢ Intake and Discharge Assemblies ➢ Acoustic Products • Coordinate with production, QA/QC, and project teams to ensure drawing accuracy and compliance. • Assist the Engineering Supervisor in daily engineering activities. • Ensure all drawings and documents are issued according to project schedules. • Maintain engineering records, revisions, and drawing control procedures. • Support project execution by resolving technical and engineering-related issues. Qualifications • Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering. • Minimum 5 years of experience in HVAC ductwork engineering and detailing. • Strong knowledge of SMACNA and DW144 standards. • Experience in CAMduct and HVAC drafting software. • Proficiency in AutoCAD and Microsoft Office applications. • Good communication and coordination skills. • Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
