Managing Director

• The Managing Director serves as the primary point of contact between the company and its clients, overseeing operations at a strategic level while maintaining direct relationships with ship captains and key decision-makers. The role bridges client relations, operations, and commercial decision-making to ensure jobs are secured, executed, and closed successfully. Key Responsibilities:       •     Act as the main point of contact for captains and clients, building and maintaining strong working relationships.       •     Facilitate and coordinate ship repair, maintenance, and dry dock jobs from initial inquiry through to completion.       •     Oversee operations at a senior level, functioning as an operations manager on a broader, strategic scale.       •     Liaise with and, where necessary, provide input into technical matters across departments (mechanical, electrical, fabrication, carpentry, etc.) to keep jobs on track.       •     Represent the company at the forefront of all client communications and negotiations.       •     Manage commercial aspects of jobs, including pricing decisions and approving discounts to secure work.       •     Support the recovery of outstanding payments and follow up on monies owed by clients. • Master's degree in Business Administration or a related field, demonstrating advanced understanding of corporate strategy. • Minimum 10 years of progressive leadership experience, ideally within the same industry, showcasing proven results. • Professional certifications such as PMP or Six Sigma preferred, reflecting commitment to project management excellence. • Experience in international markets, with a preference for candidates with a diverse cultural background.
