Job description
MAIN OBJECTIVE OF ROLE: To manage, lead, and control the Aircraft and workshops Structures and Composite maintenance activities to ensure all repair activities are carried out safely, efficiently, and in full compliance with but not limited to company Maintenance Organisation Exposition (MOE), GCAA CAR Part V, EASA Part\-145 requirements where applicable, approved technical data, and customer, while maintaining high standards of safety, quality, productivity, manpower utilisation, cost control, and operational effectiveness. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
* Manages daily operations of the Aircraft Structures and Composite team to ensure safe and efficient delivery of shop activities.
* Monitors workload, manpower allocation, priorities, and progress of all ongoing jobs to support turnaround time.
* Ensures proper coordination with Planning, Production, Engineering, Quality, Materials, Non\-Destructive Testing (NDT), Tooling, and Customer Support teams.
* Reviews department performance and implement improvements to enhance productivity, quality, and turnaround time.
* Ensures effective shift handover, job tracking, and communication within the to minimise delays and maintain quality of work.
* Ensures full compliance with but not limited to flydubai MOE, GCAA CAR Part V \& EASA Part\-145 requirements where applicable, company MOE, and customer quality requirements.
* Ensures all maintenance and repair activities are performed only by competent, trained, and authorized personnel.
* Monitors quality of workmanship and prevent process deviations, rework, repeat defects, and quality escapes.
* Supports internal, customer, regulatory, and third\-party audits by ensuring required records and evidence are available and audit findings are addressed through effective corrective and preventive actions.
* Leads continuous improvement initiatives to improve efficiency, safety, quality, and cost effectiveness, by supporting development of new repair capabilities, tooling requirements, facility upgrades, and process improvements.
* Manages manpower allocation, deployment, and utilization within the Structures and Compositeteam supported by the regular reports generated pertaining to shop performance, operational risks, manpower status, and improvement actions.
* Ensures all assigned personnel are competent, authorised, and appropriately qualified to perform assigned tasks.
* Mentors and guides assigned personnel to improve technical competency and leadership capability by identifying skill gaps and recommend training, certification, and development plans.
* Supports recruitment, selection, onboarding, and performance evaluation of shop personnel.
QUALIFICATIONS:
* Bachelor's Degree (3\+ years)
* Bachelor’s Degree or Diploma in Aeronautical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Aircraft Maintenance Engineering, or equivalent technical discipline.
* Fluent in English
* Minimum of 5 years of experience in leading teams delivering Aircraft structures and/or composite maintenance, component workshops, base maintenance, line maintenance support, or MRO environment.
* Working knowledge of AMOS preferred.
* Years with qualifications: 8 \- 10 years
* Valid UAE driving license is Preferred. Current Part 66 B1/B2 Aircraft Maintenance Engineers License (GCAA/EASA or ICAO equivalent without limitations) preference for N737NG and Max rating.

ISR Requirements: Reads and complies with the ISR policies of the Company and diligently reports any weakness or incidents to the respective Line Manager or the Information Security team. Completes all required ISR awareness sessions and follows associated guidelines in the day\-to\-day business operations.
