Maintenance & Testing Engineer

Job Summary We are looking for an experienced **Maintenance \& Testing Engineer – 11 kV Switchgear** to join our team in Qatar. The successful candidate will be responsible for executing site works in accordance with the contract requirements, supervising maintenance and testing activities, coordinating with **KAHRAMAA Engineers**, and ensuring all work is carried out safely and in compliance with applicable **KAHRAMAA safety rules and requirements**. Key Responsibilities * Execute **11 kV switchgear maintenance, testing, commissioning, and troubleshooting** activities at site. * Coordinate with **KAHRAMAA Engineers** for the issuance of required safety documents. * Supervise and control technicians and other staff under responsibility. * Ensure all site activities are carried out in accordance with **KAHRAMAA safety procedures and requirements**. * Arrange collection of required materials and equipment from the **KAHRAMAA store**. * Coordinate site activities with other service utilities and relevant stakeholders. * Obtain necessary site approvals before commencing work. * Supervise and monitor **11 kV switchgear testing and maintenance** activities. * Prepare and submit **inspection reports, daily work reports, and other required site documentation**. * Identify and troubleshoot faults related to 11 kV switchgear. * Ensure testing and commissioning activities are performed in accordance with approved procedures and applicable standards. * Maintain effective communication with KAHRAMAA Engineers, clients, supervisors, and site teams. * Ensure all work is completed safely, efficiently, and within the approved scope and schedule. * Be available for emergency communication during and outside normal working hours when required. Requirements * **Degree or Diploma in Electrical Engineering** from a recognized institution, university, or college acceptable to KAHRAMAA. * Advanced training from a recognized organization in **11 kV switchgear maintenance**. * **Degree holder:** Minimum **3 years of relevant experience**. * **Diploma holder:** Minimum **5 years of relevant experience**. * Proven experience working as an **11 kV Switchgear Specialist** in an electrical power utility or similar company. * Strong knowledge of **11 kV switchgear installation, maintenance, testing, commissioning, and troubleshooting**. * Candidates assigned to testing activities must have relevant **11 kV switchgear testing experience**. * Sound knowledge of applicable **international electrical standards and practices**. * Good command of **English**, including the ability to read and write technical documents and reports. * Strong communication, coordination, supervision, and problem\-solving skills. * Willingness and ability to remain available for **emergency contact outside normal working hours**. * Must be willing and able to **pass the interview conducted by KAHRAMAA**. Preferred Skills \& Experience * Experience with **11 kV electrical switchgear and power distribution systems**. * Experience in **electrical power utilities, substations, or utility maintenance projects**. * Hands\-on experience in **switchgear testing and commissioning**. * Familiarity with **KAHRAMAA safety procedures and site requirements**. * Qatar/GCC experience is preferred.
