Job description
• Coordinate domestic and international shipments to ensure timely deliveries.
• Plan and monitor transportation schedules and shipment execution.
• Liaise with freight forwarders, transport providers, and warehouse teams.
• Track shipments and proactively resolve delivery issues.
• Ensure accurate order fulfilment and dispatch coordination.
• Maintain shipment records and logistics documentation.
• Prepare and verify shipping documents including delivery notes, invoices, packing lists, and transport documents.
• Coordinate customs documentation where applicable.
• Ensure compliance with company procedures and regulatory requirements.
• Maintain proper filing and document control for logistics transactions.
• Support audits by providing logistics-related documentation.
• Coordinate with warehouse teams for inventory movements.
• Monitor stock transfers between warehouse locations.
• Ensure timely receipt and dispatch of goods.
• Support inventory reconciliation and stock accuracy.
• Report inventory discrepancies for corrective action.
• Coordinate with transport companies, suppliers, customers, and internal departments.
• Monitor transporter performance against agreed service levels.
• Resolve shipment delays, damages, and customer logistics issues.
• Support procurement and sales teams with logistics planning.
• Build effective working relationships with logistics service providers.
• Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly logistics reports.
• Monitor logistics KPIs including delivery performance, transportation costs, and turnaround times.
• Identify opportunities to improve logistics efficiency and reduce operational costs.
• Participate in process improvement initiatives.
• Support implementation of logistics systems and digital tools.
• Experience with ERP systems (Oracle, SAP, Microsoft Dynamics, or equivalent) is preferred.
• Good knowledge of Microsoft Office, especially Excel.
• Experience coordinating transport providers and shipment documentation.
• Familiarity with UAE logistics operations is an advantage.
• Familiarity with the Dubai Trade portal and the Delivery Order (DO) process with shipping lines in ensuring timely cargo release and smooth import operations.
