Lifting Supervisor - Oil & gas

We are looking for an **experienced and safety\-focused Lifting Supervisor** to oversee all lifting and rigging operations at our project site. The ideal candidate will ensure safe and efficient execution of lifting activities in compliance with **Qatar Energy requirements**, **approved lifting plans**, and **international safety standards**. **Key Responsibilities:Supervision of Lifting Operations:** * Supervise and coordinate all lifting operations onsite. * Ensure lifting plans and risk assessments are followed. * Verify competence of crane operators, riggers, and signalmen. * Conduct toolbox talks and pre\-lift briefings. **Safety \& Compliance:** * Enforce site HSE requirements and Qatar Energy lifting protocols. * Stop unsafe lifting activities and initiate corrective actions. * Support Permit\-to\-Work (PTW) processes for lifting operations. * Report incidents and support investigations when required. **Coordination \& Communication:** * Coordinate with Lifting Engineers, HSE teams, and site engineers. * Ensure clear communication with the lifting crew (signals/radio). * Maintain safe exclusion zones and lifting equipment positioning. * Log daily lifting operations and usage records. **Documentation:** * Ensure all lifting plans, method statements, and checklists are available and up\-to\-date. * Maintain inspection and certification records for lifting tools and cranes. * Assist in preparing lifting\-related reports and audits as needed. **Qualifications:** * Diploma or Trade Certificate in Mechanical * **Valid Lifting Supervisor Certificate** from a recognized training institute * 5–7 years experience in lifting operations, including 3–5 years in **Qatar or GCC** * Strong knowledge of rigging, lifting gears, crane types, and safety procedures * Familiar with **Qatar Energy lifting requirements**, * Effective leadership and communication skills * Physically fit to work in site environments Job Type: Contract Application Question(s): * How many years of experience do you have supervising lifting and rigging operations? * Have you previously worked on Qatar Energy or Oil \& Gas projects in Qatar or the GCC? * What is your current and expected salary?
