**Job Title:** Lifeguard **Department:** Operations / Safety **Reports To:** Safety Supervisor / Facility Manager Job Purpose To ensure the safety of swimmers and facility visitors by continuously monitoring swimming areas, responding promptly to emergencies, performing water rescues, and providing first aid in accordance with approved safety standards and procedures. Key Responsibilities * Continuously monitor swimming pools, beaches, and designated aquatic areas. * Identify and respond immediately to swimmers in distress or potential drowning situations. * Perform water rescues using approved rescue techniques and procedures. * Provide first aid, CPR, and emergency assistance when required. * Ensure all visitors comply with swimming pool and safety rules. * Conduct regular checks of rescue equipment, first\-aid supplies, and emergency equipment. * Report and document accidents, injuries, and safety incidents according to facility procedures. * Maintain a safe, clean, and organized lifeguard station and surrounding area. * Coordinate with security, safety, medical, and emergency response teams when necessary. * Provide safety instructions and guidance to swimmers and visitors. * Identify and report potential hazards or unsafe conditions. * Participate in safety inspections, emergency drills, and training sessions. * Comply with all facility policies, health and safety regulations, and operational procedures. Required Qualifications \& Certifications * High school diploma or equivalent. * **Valid Lifeguard and Water Safety Certification issued by the Saudi Lifesaving Federation (SLSF).** * Valid First Aid and CPR certification; AED certification is preferred. * Strong swimming ability and proficiency in water rescue techniques. * Ability to pass the required swimming and physical fitness assessments. * Good physical fitness and the ability to respond effectively to emergency situations. * Previous experience as a lifeguard or in aquatic facility operations is preferred.
