Librarian

We are seeking a dedicated and organized Librarian to join our school team. The ideal candidate will be passionate about promoting reading habits, information literacy, and lifelong learning while creating a welcoming and resourceful library environment for students and staff. Responsibilities * Manage the school library and maintain an organized collection of books and learning resources. * Assist students and staff in locating books, reference materials, and digital resources. * Promote reading through library activities, book fairs, reading programs, and literacy initiatives. * Catalog, classify, and maintain library records using the school's library management system. * Issue and receive library books while maintaining accurate borrowing records. * Ensure the proper care, maintenance, and inventory of library resources and equipment. * Create an engaging and inclusive library environment that encourages independent learning. * Collaborate with teachers to support classroom learning and research activities. Requirements * Bachelor's degree in Library Science, Library \& Information Science, or a related field. * Relevant experience as a librarian in a school setting is preferred. * Knowledge of library cataloging systems and digital library resources. * Excellent organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills. * Ability to engage students of different age groups and foster a love for reading. * Proficiency in basic computer applications and library management software is an advantage.
