Lead Software Engineer – Java / Oracle

We are looking for passionate, innovative, results\-oriented professional with a commitment to success to be a part of our international company to lead a diverse technical team. **Duties \& Responsibilities:** Lead the technical delivery of a production enterprise application built on Java and Oracle technologies. Plan and execute database platform migration activities, including schema migration, data migration, stored procedures, functions, packages, triggers, and database object conversion. Assess and refactor backend Java services impacted by database changes, including JDBC/data access layers, ORM configurations, SQL queries, stored procedure calls, connection handling, and transaction management. Define and support the target IAM integration approach, including enterprise identity provider integration, single sign\-on, role\-based access control, and authorization flows across consuming services. Profile and optimize the application and integration layers, including Java runtime behavior, API performance, internal services, external connectors, message flows, caching, and system bottlenecks. Drive end\-to\-end performance improvements across the stack, including backend runtime tuning, database query optimization, reverse\-proxy/web\-server tuning, connection handling, and frontend performance. Define system performance benchmarks and prove improvements through measurable before\-and\-after results. Set and enforce engineering standards, including branching strategy, code review practices, architecture decision records, technical documentation, secure coding practices, and release discipline. Lead the software development team on a day\-to\-day basis, including task allocation, code reviews, technical guidance, pairing, mentoring, issue resolution, and delivery tracking. Partner with infrastructure, database, security, and business teams to support testing, cutover planning, go\-live readiness, and post\-go\-live stabilization. Produce technical evidence and delivery documentation, including benchmark reports, validation reports, migration runbooks, cutover plans, rollback plans, and technical design documents. **Requirements:** 10\+ years of professional software engineering experience, including at least 4 years in a technical lead, lead engineer, solution architect, or principal engineer capacity. Strong hands\-on experience with Java enterprise application development. Strong experience with Java frameworks and ecosystems such as Spring, Spring Boot, Jakarta EE, Hibernate/JPA, Maven/Gradle, REST APIs, and enterprise integration patterns. Strong Oracle database experience, including SQL, PL/SQL, stored procedures, functions, packages, triggers, indexing, query tuning, execution plans, and production database troubleshooting. Proven experience leading or supporting database migration projects, preferably involving Oracle or migration to/from Oracle\-based platforms. Strong understanding of backend architecture, transaction management, connection pooling, runtime profiling, dependency management, logging, monitoring, and production troubleshooting. Experience with IAM, SSO, OAuth2, OpenID Connect, SAML, LDAP/Active Directory, or enterprise identity provider integrations. Proven experience with Docker and Kubernetes in production or enterprise environments. Strong experience with CI/CD pipelines, Git branching strategies, automated testing, code quality tools, and release management. **Preferred Certifications:** **Oracle Certified Professional:** Java SE Developer. Oracle Database SQL Certified Associate or Oracle PL/SQL Developer Certified Associate. Certified Kubernetes Application Developer or Certified Kubernetes Administrator. AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud certification is an advantage. Spring Professional Certification is an advantage. **Preferred Experience:** * Experience modernizing legacy enterprise Java applications. * Experience working on high\-availability, business\-critical applications. * Experience in heterogeneous database migrations. * Experience working with enterprise security, audit, compliance, and production change\-control processes. * Experience in large\-scale government, banking, telecom, oil and gas, or enterprise environments.
