Job description

Position Overview We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior DC Power Systems Technician to manage and execute critical power infrastructure installations. The successful candidate will lead field operations, overseeing the end-to-end installation of 48VDC/110VDC power systems, including battery banks, charger systems, and complex cable management for utility-grade environments. Core Responsibilities • System Installation: Perform expert-level installation, configuration, and maintenance of 48VDC and 110VDC battery banks, including NiCd, Lead-Acid, and modern Super Capacitor technologies. • Charging Infrastructure: Lead the installation, commissioning, and troubleshooting of DC Charger Systems. • Power Distribution & Cabling: Manage large-scale AC/DC cable laying, pulling, and precision termination. This includes expert-level glanding and connection work for cable sizes ranging from 16 mm2 to 95 mm2 and above. • Control & Protection: Execute the installation and termination of MCBs, complex terminal blocks, and temporary power sources to ensure seamless system integration. • Team Leadership: Supervise and mentor on-site installation teams, ensuring adherence to safety protocols, quality standards, and project timelines. • Minimum 5 years of verified, hands-on experience specifically in the installation and maintenance of 48VDC/110VDC NiCd, Lead-Acid, and Super Capacitor battery systems. • Minimum 5 years of field experience in the installation and commissioning of 48VDC/110VDC charger systems. • Minimum 5 years of specialized experience in AC/DC power cable installation, including rigorous adherence to glanding, termination, and routing standards for high-capacity cables (16 mm2 to 95 mm2). • Expert knowledge in the installation and termination of MCBs, terminal blocks, and the deployment of temporary power sources in mission-critical environments. • Proven capability in managing installation crews, coordinating site logistics, and maintaining high standards of work quality in high-pressure environments. Key Competencies • Strong understanding of DC power distribution schematics and electrical safety regulations. • Ability to work in industrial, data center, or utility environments. • Excellent technical problem-solving skills and attention to detail. • Commitment to health, safety, and environmental (HSE) best practices.
