KITCHEN HELPER – JOB RESPONSIBILITIES * Assist the Chef and kitchen team with daily food preparation, cooking support, and other kitchen duties. * Wash, peel, cut, chop, and prepare vegetables, fruits, meat, and other ingredients as instructed. * Maintain cleanliness and hygiene of the kitchen, preparation areas, equipment, utensils, and work surfaces. * Wash and properly clean dishes, pots, pans, cooking utensils, and other kitchen equipment. * Assist in receiving, checking, and properly storing food supplies and ingredients. * Follow FIFO/LIFO, food safety, HACCP, hygiene, and proper food\-handling procedures. * Ensure ingredients are properly covered, labelled, dated, and stored at the correct temperature. * Assist in maintaining adequate kitchen stock and report shortages, damaged items, or expired products to the Chef or Supervisor. * Minimize food wastage and maintain proper portioning and handling of ingredients. * Follow kitchen opening and closing procedures and perform other reasonable duties assigned by the Chef, Supervisor, or Restaurant Manager.
