About the Position: Wynn Al Marjan Island is looking for a skilled K9 Assistant Manager to join our Security team. The primary duties and responsibilities of this role are: About the Position: Operations Support • Assist in implementing K9 program policies and procedures. • Coordinate training schedules, certifications, and recertifications for dogs and handlers. • Mediate employee concerns and resolve conflicts professionally. • Provide objective feedback, guidance, and learning opportunities to develop team abilities. • Recognize and mentor performance, motivating others toward shared goals. • Communicate clearly and concisely, tailoring messages to the audience. • Evaluate conditions and events, identify problems, and base decisions on sound reasoning. • Monitor inventory of K9 equipment and supplies, ensuring timely replenishment. • Coordinate daily K9 operations, including deployment schedules and resource allocation. • Prepare operational reports and performance metrics for management review. • Support procurement processes and vendor coordination for K9-related services. • Assist in budget preparation and cost tracking for K9 operations. • May assume Dog Handler duties during operational needs. K9 Security Program • Maintain accurate records of K9 health, training, and certifications. • Assist in organizing and executing training sessions and workshops. • Evaluate training effectiveness and suggest improvements. • Support handlers during operational deployments and emergency situations. • Ensure adherence to local regulations and internal standards for K9 operations. • Support audits and inspections of K9 facilities and equipment. • Maintain awareness of legal and regulatory requirements for K9 operations. • Prepare detailed reports on K9 activities, incidents, and performance metrics. • Maintain confidentiality of sensitive information. • Assist with investigations involving K9 units and liaise with external agencies when required. • Act as liaison between K9 handlers and management for operational issues. • Collaborate with other security teams to integrate K9 operations into overall security protocols. • Maintain strong relationships with government emergency services and regulatory authorities. About You: • Preferred: Bachelor s degree in security or related fields. • Preferred: Certification in K9 Training by international organization, or national law enforcement. • Required: Minimum 5 years experience in K9 training and handling for explosive detection. • Preferred: Minimum 3 years' experience in luxury hospitality environment. • Preferred: Prior K9 experience in integrated resorts or casinos. • Strong leadership and team coordination skills. • Excellent verbal and written communication. • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and reporting tools. • Ability to work flexible shifts and adapt to operational demands. • Understanding of canine behaviour and training techniques. • Expertise in maintaining K9 health, including diet, exercise, and veterinary care. • Familiarity with emergency response protocols and risk management. • Self-starter possessing strong analytical and organizational skills. • Awareness of legal and regulatory requirements for K9 operations. • Proficiency in handling and managing K9 equipment. • Experience in evaluating K9 performance and implementing improvement plans.
