Duties and Responsibilities
* Assist in preparing cost estimates and budgets for exhibition stands, joinery, fit\-outs, and interior projects.
* Review drawings, specifications, and project requirements to prepare accurate quantity take\-offs.
* Prepare Bills of Quantities (BOQ) and material quantity calculations.
* Obtain and compare quotations from suppliers and subcontractors.
* Assist in preparing cost comparisons and recommendations for procurement.
* Monitor project costs to ensure they remain within the approved budget.
* Prepare purchase requisitions and support the procurement team with material orders.
* Measure and verify work completed by subcontractors for payment certification.
* Assist in preparing variation orders (VOs), cost claims, and additional work quotations.
* Maintain accurate records of project costs, purchase orders, invoices, and contracts.
* Coordinate with the Project Manager, Production Team, Design Team, and Procurement Department regarding project requirements.
* Conduct site visits to verify quantities, monitor progress, and identify cost\-related issues.
* Track material usage and minimize wastage during project execution.
* Prepare project cost reports, cash flow updates, and final account summaries.
* Ensure compliance with company procedures, client requirements, and contractual obligations.
* Support the senior Quantity Surveyor in project planning, cost control, and commercial management.
* Assist in preparing tender documents and pricing for new projects.
* Perform other duties assigned by the Quantity Surveyor, Commercial Manager, or Management.
Qualifications
* Bachelor's Degree or Diploma in Quantity Surveying, Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
* **1–3 years of experience** as a Quantity Surveyor, preferably in the **Events \& Exhibition, Fit\-Out, or Interior Design industry**.
* Knowledge of BOQ preparation, quantity take\-offs, and cost estimation.
* Familiarity with materials used in exhibition stands, fit\-out works, carpentry, metal works, graphics, electrical, and AV installations.
* Proficiency in **Microsoft Excel** and **AutoCAD**; knowledge of PlanSwift or other quantity take\-off software is an advantage.
* Good analytical, numerical, and negotiation skills.
* Ability to work under pressure and meet tight project deadlines.
* Strong communication and teamwork skills.
Pay: From AED4,000\.00 per month
