Junior Accounts Officer – Construction

Job Summary We are looking for a **Junior Accounts Officer** to support our finance and accounting operations within the construction industry. The ideal candidate should have a good understanding of accounting principles, strong attention to detail, and preferably hands\-on experience in a construction or contracting company. Key Responsibilities * Handle daily accounting entries and maintain accurate financial records. * Prepare and process invoices, receipts, payment vouchers, and other accounting documents. * Assist with **Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR)**. * Monitor supplier and customer balances and follow up on outstanding payments. * Perform bank, supplier, customer, and account reconciliations. * Record and monitor project\-related expenses and costs. * Process supplier invoices, purchase orders, delivery notes, and payment documentation. * Maintain petty cash records and monitor company expenses. * Assist with monthly and year\-end closing activities. * Prepare financial reports, schedules, and supporting documents. * Assist with Bahrain VAT records and related documentation. * Maintain proper filing of accounting and project\-related documents. * Coordinate with suppliers, subcontractors, clients, and internal departments regarding accounts matters. * Support the Senior Accountant / Finance Manager with daily accounting and administrative tasks. Requirements * Bachelor's Degree or Diploma in **Accounting, Finance, Commerce, or a related field**. * **1–3 years of relevant accounting experience**, preferably in construction or contracting. * Strong knowledge of basic accounting principles and bookkeeping. * Experience with AP, AR, invoicing, reconciliations, petty cash, and expense tracking. * Construction/project accounting experience is an advantage. * Proficiency in **MS Excel** and accounting software/ERP systems such as Tally, QuickBooks, or similar. * Knowledge of **Bahrain VAT** is an advantage. * Strong attention to detail, accuracy, and organizational skills. * Good English communication skills. * **Must be currently locally available in Bahrain.** * **Immediate joiner or available on short notice is highly preferred.** * Transferable or cancelled visa is an advantage. Preferred Candidate Candidates with **Bahrain/GCC construction or contracting experience** and the ability to **join immediately** will be given preference. Work Location: In person
