Junior Accountant / Assistant Accountant

**Urgent Required** **Position:** Assistant Accountant **Department:** Finance \& Accounts **Location:** Dammam, Saudi Arabia **Reports To:** Chief Accountant / CFO **Nationality: S** **Job Summary** The Assistant Accountant supports the Finance Department in maintaining accurate financial records, processing accounting transactions, preparing financial reports, and ensuring compliance with Saudi regulations, including ZATCA requirements. The role also assists in project accounting, supplier payments, payroll support, and cost monitoring for construction and contracting projects. **Key Responsibilities** Record daily accounting transactions in the ERP/accounting system. Process supplier invoices, payment vouchers, receipts, and journal entries. Assist in managing Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR). Reconcile bank accounts, supplier statements, and customer accounts. Maintain petty cash and monitor employee expense reimbursements. Prepare customer invoices, progress billings, and payment certificates for construction projects. Assist in project cost allocation and monitor project expenditures. Support monthly, quarterly, and annual financial closing activities. Prepare account reconciliations and schedules for audit purposes. Assist with VAT documentation, ZATCA e\-invoicing, and tax compliance. Maintain fixed asset records and depreciation schedules. Coordinate with procurement, warehouse, HR, and project teams to verify financial documents. Organize and maintain accounting records, contracts, and supporting documentation. Prepare financial reports, cash flow summaries, and management reports as requested. Support internal and external audits by providing required documentation. Ensure compliance with company financial policies and Saudi regulations. **Qualifications** Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or Commerce. Professional certification (SOCPA registration or eligibility) is an advantage. 1 to 2 years of accounting experience, preferably in a contracting, construction, or EPC company. Experience working with ERP systems such as SAP, Oracle, Odoo, Tally, or Microsoft Dynamics is preferred. Good knowledge of Microsoft Excel (Pivot Tables, VLOOKUP, formulas). Knowledge of Saudi VAT, ZATCA e\-invoicing, and accounting standards. Good communication skills in English; Arabic is an added advantage. **Skills \& Competencies** Strong understanding of accounting principles. Excellent numerical and analytical skills.
