Job Description – Jr.Estimation Engineer

**Location:** Sharjah
We are seeking an experienced Jr. Estimation Engineer to prepare accurate technical and commercial estimates for engineering, MEP, maintenance, and facilities management projects. This is an engineering estimation role and not a Quantity Surveyor position.
Key Responsibilities
* Review tender documents, scopes of work, drawings, specifications, and client requirements.
* Prepare cost estimates for MEP, engineering, preventive maintenance, corrective maintenance, and FM projects.
* Calculate labour, materials, equipment, subcontractor, transportation, and overhead costs.
* Conduct site visits to assess technical requirements and identify project risks.
* Prepare detailed cost breakdowns, pricing sheets, BOQs, quotations, and commercial proposals.
* Obtain and evaluate quotations from suppliers and subcontractors.
* Coordinate with engineering, procurement, operations, finance, and business development teams.
* Develop technical proposals, method statements, resource plans, and project schedules.
* Identify value\-engineering opportunities without compromising quality or compliance.
* Attend tender clarification meetings and respond to technical and commercial queries.
* Maintain updated databases for material prices, labour rates, supplier quotations, and historical project costs.
* Support project handover by explaining estimated costs, assumptions, exclusions, and resource requirements to the operations team.
* Monitor actual project costs against estimates and use the findings to improve future pricing.
Requirements
* Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Civil, or a related engineering discipline.
* Minimum 3–5 years of estimation experience in engineering, MEP, maintenance, or facilities management.
* Strong knowledge of HVAC, electrical, plumbing, fire protection, civil maintenance, and FM services.
* Experience preparing technical and commercial proposals for tenders.
* Strong understanding of labour productivity, material pricing, equipment requirements, and operational costs.
* Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, AutoCAD, estimation software, and ERP systems.
* Strong analytical, negotiation, communication, and time\-management skills.
* Knowledge of UAE market prices, suppliers, subcontractors, and tendering practices is preferred.
**Important:** Candidates whose experience is primarily in quantity surveying, without hands\-on engineering estimation experience, will not be considered
Pay: AED4,500\.00 per month
