Key Responsibilities
• Act as the authorized Job Performer under the ADNOC Permit to Work (PTW) system.
• Review and understand the approved Permit to Work, Job Safety Analysis (JSA), Method Statement, and Risk Assessment before commencing work.
• Ensure all worksite control measures, isolations (LOTO), barricading, gas testing, and safety precautions are implemented before starting work.
• Conduct daily Toolbox Talks (TBT) and communicate hazards, control measures, and emergency procedures to all work crew members.
• Supervise and coordinate work activities to ensure compliance with ADNOC HSE requirements and project procedures.
• Verify that all personnel are competent, properly trained, and equipped with the required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
• Ensure work is executed only within the scope and validity of the approved permit.
• Coordinate with the Area Authority, Permit Issuer, Performing Authority, HSE personnel, and other disciplines for safe work execution.
• Stop work immediately whenever unsafe conditions, permit deviations, or emergency situations arise.
• Monitor the worksite continuously to ensure compliance with safety requirements throughout the work duration.
• Ensure housekeeping standards are maintained before, during, and after completion of work.
• Close, suspend, or hand over permits in accordance with ADNOC PTW procedures.
• Maintain accurate records of permits, toolbox talks, inspections, and work progress.
• Report hazards, incidents, near misses, and unsafe acts or conditions immediately.
• Support quality inspections and ensure work complies with project specifications, drawings, and applicable standards.
• Diploma, ITI, or Technical Certificate in Mechanical, Electrical, Instrumentation, Civil, or a related engineering discipline.
• Valid ADNOC WMS Job Performer (Permit Holder) certification.
• Additional safety certifications such as H2S, Confined Space Entry, Working at Height, Gas Testing, or First Aid are advantageous.
Experience
• Minimum 3–5 years of Oil & Gas experience.
• At least 2 years of experience on ADNOC projects as an approved Job Performer or Permit Holder.
• Experience in EPC construction, shutdowns, brownfield, greenfield, maintenance, or commissioning projects.
• Strong knowledge of ADNOC PTW, WMS, JSA, LOTO, SIMOPS, and HSE requirements.
Skills & Competencies
• Thorough understanding of ADNOC Work Management System (WMS).
• Strong knowledge of Permit to Work (PTW) procedures.
• Excellent understanding of hazard identification and risk assessment.
• Ability to lead work crews safely in high-risk environments.
• Good communication and coordination skills.
• Ability to interpret engineering drawings and technical documents.
• Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
• Computer literacy with Microsoft Office applications.
• Good written and spoken English.
HSE Responsibilities
• Comply with all ADNOC HSE policies, procedures, and Life Saving Rules.
• Ensure worksite hazards are identified and controlled before work begins.
• Verify emergency response arrangements are understood by all team members.
• Ensure environmental protection measures are implemented.
• Promote a strong safety culture and intervene when unsafe behaviors are observed.
• Participate in incident investigations and corrective action implementation where required.
