INVENTORY MANAGER - HYPERMARKET

Job Description – Inventory Manager (Warehouse / Hypermarket) **Position:** Inventory Manager **Department:** Warehouse / Inventory Control **Location:** Sharjah **Employment Type:** Full\-Time Job Summary The Inventory Manager is responsible for managing and controlling inventory operations within the hypermarket warehouse. The role ensures accurate stock levels, proper storage, timely replenishment, efficient stock movement, and minimal inventory losses while maintaining high standards of safety and operational efficiency. Key Responsibilities * Manage daily inventory operations, including receiving, storage, picking, transfers, replenishment, and dispatch. * Maintain accurate inventory records in the ERP/WMS system. * Monitor stock levels and ensure timely replenishment of fast\-moving and essential products. * Conduct regular cycle counts, stock audits, and physical inventory checks. * Investigate and resolve stock discrepancies, damages, shortages, and excess inventory. * Monitor product expiry dates and implement **FEFO (First Expiry, First Out)** where applicable. * Ensure proper FIFO (First In, First Out) stock rotation. * Coordinate with purchasing, sales, logistics, and store departments to maintain optimal inventory levels. * Supervise warehouse staff involved in inventory handling and stock control. * Ensure products are correctly labeled, stored, and organized according to category and storage requirements. * Prepare inventory reports, stock movement reports, variance reports, and aging reports. * Monitor slow\-moving, non\-moving, damaged, and obsolete stock. * Reduce inventory losses caused by damage, expiry, theft, and operational errors. * Ensure compliance with company policies, warehouse procedures, health and safety requirements, and food/product handling standards. * Support internal and external inventory audits. * Train and guide warehouse employees on inventory control procedures and proper stock handling. * Identify opportunities to improve warehouse efficiency, inventory accuracy, and cost control. Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) * Inventory accuracy and stock variance percentage * Stock availability and replenishment efficiency * Reduction in damaged and expired products * Inventory shrinkage/loss percentage * Cycle\-count accuracy and completion rate * Slow\-moving and obsolete inventory levels * Order picking and stock\-handling accuracy * Compliance with warehouse procedures Requirements * Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or a related field. * **5–8 years of experience** in inventory management, preferably in a hypermarket, supermarket, FMCG, retail, or large warehouse environment. * Good knowledge of inventory control, warehouse operations, FIFO/FEFO, and stock reconciliation. * Experience with ERP/WMS or inventory management systems. * Strong Excel and reporting skills. * Good analytical and problem\-solving abilities. * Strong organizational and communication skills. * Ability to manage warehouse staff and work in a fast\-paced environment. * Knowledge of health, safety, and warehouse best practices. Preferred Skills * Experience with high\-volume retail/FMCG inventory. * Knowledge of barcode and scanning systems. * Experience conducting full physical stock counts and cycle counts. * Familiarity with ERP systems such as SAP, Oracle, Microsoft Dynamics, or similar platforms. * Strong attention to detail and ability to identify inventory discrepancies.
