Industrial Production Engineer

**Job Title:** Industrial Production Engineer — Wood Manufacturing **Department:** Production / Factory Operations **Reports To:** Plant Manager / Production Director **JOB SUMMARY** The **Industrial Production Engineer (Wood Manufacturing)** is responsible for optimizing woodworking processes, improving furniture and cabinetry assembly lines, and maximizing raw material utilization (timber/MDF). This role focuses on streamlining shop\-floor workflows, reducing wood waste, and ensuring high\-quality output while maintaining strict factory safety standards. **KEY RESPONSIBILITIES** * **Woodworking Process Optimization:** Design, evaluate, and refine wood cutting, sanding, edge\-banding, and finishing workflows to reduce cycle times and material waste. * **Production Planning \& Line Layout:** Optimize factory floor layouts for woodworking machinery (CNC routers, panel saws, press machines) and set Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for assembly lines. * **Continuous Improvement:** Lead Lean, 5S, and Kaizen initiatives to eliminate bottlenecking during cutting, assembly, and spray\-painting/varnishing stages. * **Quality \& Safety Assurance:** Ensure raw materials (timber, veneers, hardware) and finished products meet specifications, while enforcing strict dust\-control and wood\-shop safety compliance. * **Equipment \& Yield Management:** Monitor machine efficiency (OEE), troubleshoot machinery technical issues, and calculate yield rates to maximize sheet usage. * **Data \& Reporting:** Track daily production targets, scrap/waste rates, and labor hours to report key metrics to factory management. **REQUIREMENTS \& QUALIFICATIONS** * **Education:** Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering, Production Engineering, or Mechanical Engineering. * **Experience:** 2–5 years of experience in a wood, furniture, or joinery manufacturing plant. * **Technical Skills:** * Proficiency in CAD software (AutoCAD, SolidWorks, or WoodWOP/Cabinet Vision) for shop drawings and cut\-list preparation. * Hands\-on knowledge of woodworking machinery (CNC machines, edge banders, beam saws, and painting lines). * Deep understanding of Lean Manufacturing, 5S, and yield optimization techniques for timber and wood panels. * **Competencies:** Strong technical problem\-solving, project management, and effective communication with factory supervisors and machine operators. سؤال (أسئلة) طلب التقدم: * ?
