Industrial Electrical Technician

The Sand Plant Process Operator is responsible for the safe, efficient, and continuous operation of sand processing equipment and systems. This role supports production targets by monitoring plant performance, adjusting operating parameters, conducting routine inspections, identifying equipment issues, and maintaining product quality in line with operational and safety standards. Key Responsibilities • Operate and monitor sand plant equipment, including screens, conveyors, pumps, classifiers, crushers, washers, and related process systems. • Start up, shut down, and adjust plant equipment in accordance with standard operating procedures and production requirements. • Inspect equipment and process conditions regularly to identify abnormal performance, blockages, leaks, wear, or safety risks. • Record operating data such as throughput, downtime, equipment condition, and process readings accurately and on time. • Support product quality by checking material flow, moisture levels, gradation, and general conformance to specification. • Report equipment malfunctions and assist with basic troubleshooting, housekeeping, and minor maintenance activities. • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area at all times, including control rooms, walkways, and plant platforms. • Follow all health, safety, and environmental procedures, including lockout/tagout, PPE, dust control, and hazard reporting requirements. • Coordinate with maintenance, laboratory, loadout, and supervisory teams to support efficient plant operation. • Assist with inspections, shutdown work, and other plant-related duties as assigned. Qualifications and Experience • High school diploma or equivalent preferred. • Previous experience in a sand processing plant, quarry, mining, aggregate, or industrial production environment is preferred. • Basic understanding of mechanical equipment, process flow, and plant operating principles. • Ability to read and follow operating procedures, safety instructions, and inspection checklists.
