HSE Officer

We are looking for an experienced **HSE Officer** to manage and monitor the safety of drivers and ensure compliance with company and client safety requirements. **Key Responsibilities:** * Monitor and manage driver safety and compliance with QatarEnergy HSE requirements. * Conduct regular driver safety inspections and ensure compliance with safe driving practices. * Monitor defensive driving, seat belt usage, speed limits, mobile phone restrictions, and other road safety requirements. * Conduct driver safety briefings, toolbox talks, and awareness sessions. * Monitor driver working hours, fatigue management, and fitness to drive. * Review and monitor vehicle inspection and maintenance records. * Monitor journey management and ensure drivers comply with approved routes and travel procedures. * Investigate and report traffic incidents, accidents, near misses, and safety violations. * Maintain driver safety records, inspection reports, and HSE documentation. * Conduct regular audits and site visits to ensure compliance with project and QatarEnergy safety standards. * Coordinate with drivers, supervisors, and project management to identify and control safety risks. * Promote a strong road safety culture among all drivers. **Requirements:** * Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Occupational Health \& Safety or a related field. * Minimum 3 years of experience in HSE or Driver/Transport Safety Management, preferably in the Oil \& Gas industry. * Experience managing the safety of a large fleet of drivers will be an advantage. * Knowledge of QatarEnergy HSE requirements and road safety standards is preferred. * NEBOSH IGC and/or IOSH certification preferred. * Strong knowledge of defensive driving, journey management, risk assessment, and incident investigation. * Good communication, reporting, and interpersonal skills. * Candidates with experience in Qatar and those currently available in Qatar are preferred.
