Job description

We are seeking an experienced HSE Officer with UAE construction experience to ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental standards across project sites. The ideal candidate will be responsible for implementing HSE policies, conducting site inspections, promoting safe work practices, and ensuring compliance with UAE regulations and client requirements. Key Responsibilities • Implement and monitor HSE policies, procedures, and safety programs at construction sites. • Conduct daily site inspections, safety audits, and risk assessments. • Ensure compliance with UAE HSE regulations, client requirements, and company safety standards. • Prepare and maintain HSE documentation, reports, and records. • Conduct toolbox talks, safety inductions, and awareness training for workers and subcontractors. • Identify hazards, unsafe practices, and recommend corrective actions. • Investigate incidents, accidents, and near misses and prepare reports. • Monitor compliance with PPE requirements, permit-to-work systems, and safe work procedures. • Coordinate with project managers, engineers, supervisors, and subcontractors on safety matters. • Ensure emergency response procedures are implemented and tested. • Maintain environmental compliance and waste management practices. • Support internal and external HSE audits. • Diploma/Bachelor’s Degree in Occupational Health & Safety, Engineering, or related field. • Minimum 3–5 years of UAE construction experience as an HSE Officer. • Strong knowledge of UAE construction safety standards and HSE regulations. • Must have valid NEBOSH IGC / IOSH / OSHA certification . • Experience in conducting risk assessments, method statement reviews, and safety inspections. • Knowledge of construction activities including civil works, landscaping, MEP, and infrastructure projects. • Familiarity with PTW systems, toolbox talks, incident reporting, and safety documentation. • Good communication skills with the ability to train and guide site teams. • Strong observation skills and attention to safety compliance. • Proficiency in MS Office for preparing reports and documentation. • UAE Driving License is an advantage. • Candidates currently available in UAE with immediate or short notice availability will be preferred.
