HSE Officer – Construction

Job Description ERA Projects is looking for an experienced and responsible **HSE Officer – Construction** to ensure health, safety and environmental standards are maintained across construction sites. The successful candidate will monitor site activities, identify hazards, implement safety procedures and ensure compliance with company and project HSE requirements. Key Responsibilities * Conduct daily site safety inspections and identify unsafe conditions, acts and potential hazards. * Implement and monitor the project HSE plan, policies and safety procedures. * Prepare and review **Risk Assessments, JSA/JHA and Method Statements**. * Monitor high\-risk construction activities including work at height, scaffolding, lifting operations, excavation, hot works and electrical works. * Conduct safety inductions, toolbox talks and regular safety awareness training. * Ensure proper use of PPE and compliance with safe working practices. * Monitor and control **Permit to Work (PTW)** requirements. * Inspect tools, equipment, machinery, scaffolding and work areas for safety compliance. * Investigate accidents, incidents and near misses and prepare reports with corrective actions. * Maintain HSE records, inspection reports, training records, permits and other safety documentation. * Coordinate with project engineers, supervisors, subcontractors and workers on safety matters. * Follow up on corrective and preventive actions until closure. * Assist in emergency preparedness, fire prevention and first\-aid arrangements. * Immediately report unsafe or serious safety violations and recommend appropriate corrective measures. * Prepare regular HSE reports and safety observations for management. Requirements * Diploma or Bachelor's degree in **Occupational Health \& Safety, Engineering, Construction Management** or a related field. * Minimum **2–3 years of experience** as an HSE Officer / Safety Officer in the construction industry. * **NEBOSH / IOSH / OSHA** or equivalent certification is preferred. * Strong knowledge of construction site safety practices and hazard identification. * Experience in risk assessments, JSA, toolbox talks, site inspections and incident investigations. * Knowledge of PPE, PTW systems, emergency procedures and construction safety requirements. * Good communication, reporting and documentation skills. * Ability to work independently and coordinate effectively with site teams and subcontractors. * **Construction experience in Bahrain is preferred.** * **Must be locally available in Bahrain.** * **Immediate joiner preferred.** Preferred Skills HSE \| Construction Safety \| Risk Assessment \| JSA/JHA \| Method Statements \| PTW \| Toolbox Talks \| Site Inspection \| Incident Investigation \| PPE \| Work at Height \| Scaffolding Safety \| Lifting Safety \| HSE Reporting Work Location: In person
