Job description
We seek a highly skilled and experienced HSE Engineer to join our team in Abu Dhabi. The ideal candidate will have a solid background in the heavy fabrication and servicing industry, with specific experience in refinery shutdown projects and a strong commitment to maintaining safety and environmental standards.
Key Responsibilities :
• Develop, implement, and manage health, safety, and environmental (HSE) policies and procedures in line with regulatory requirements and company standards.
• Conduct HSE risk assessments and safety audits for fabrication and servicing operations, ensuring a safe working environment for all employees.
• Provide guidance and support during refinery shutdown projects, particularly those involving high-risk activities.
• Manage and supervise HSE protocols during heavy fabrication processes and refinery shutdowns to ensure adherence to industry best practices.
• Coordinate HSE-related training sessions for staff, focusing on safe working practices in heavy fabrication and servicing, hydrojetting, and refinery maintenance.
• Liaise with clients, contractors, and regulatory authorities to ensure compliance with local laws and safety regulations, including ADNOC’s HSE standards.
• Develop and oversee the emergency response plan, ensuring all staff is prepared for potential emergencies.
• Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Health and Safety or Mechanical Engineering.
• Minimum 4-7 years of HSE experience in the heavy fabrication and servicing industry, with a focus on refinery shutdowns.
• Demonstrated experience with ADNOC shutdowns or similar exposure to large-scale refinery projects.
• Strong understanding and hands-on experience in hydrojetting safety procedures, with the ability to assess and manage risks associated with this process.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with diverse teams.
• Hands-on experience in Heat Exchangers, Pressure Vessels, Hydro Jetting, and Chemical Cleaning operations.
• Preferred Skills :
• ADNOC project experience, particularly with refinery shutdowns.
• Certification in NEBOSH, IOSH, or equivalent HSE qualifications.
• Knowledge of OSHAD health and safety regulations and best practices for fabrication and servicing.
