Job description
Assist the Project or Program Manager in implementing and maintaining Safety, Health, and Environmental (SH&E) programs across project sites. Support the administration and execution of site-specific SH&E plans to ensure compliance with project, client, and regulatory requirements. Conduct audits of projects and worksites to verify compliance with corporate standards, policies, and procedures. Perform regular workplace inspections to identify hazards and provide recommendations to eliminate or control safety, health, and environmental risks. Prepare and submit inspection reports, audit reports, and corrective action recommendations. Monitor project planning and work execution to ensure activities comply with Parsons Environmental, Safety, Health, and Risk Program (ESHARP) requirements. Support the implementation of occupational injury, incident reporting, and incident management processes. Analyze inspection findings, audit results, and incident trends, and prepare reports to support continuous improvement initiatives. Assist with new employee safety orientations and onboarding activities. Deliver SH&E training programs and promote industry best practices across project teams. Maintain accurate training records and safety documentation. Participate in routine safety briefings, toolbox talks, and workforce awareness programs. Coordinate with project teams, contractors, clients, and stakeholders to promote a strong safety culture. Support emergency preparedness activities and contribute to the continual improvement of safety performance across the project. Perform other responsibilities associated with the position as required.
• Bachelor's Degree in Occupational Safety and Health or a related field (or equivalent experience).
• Minimum 5 years of experience in Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE/SH&E) roles.
• Working knowledge of applicable health, safety, and environmental regulations and reporting requirements.
• Knowledge of recognized safety standards and industry best practices, including ANSI, NFPA, and related standards.
• Experience conducting safety audits, inspections, hazard assessments, and incident investigations.
• Experience delivering safety training and awareness programs.
• Strong analytical, reporting, and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to work effectively with multidisciplinary teams and stakeholders.
• Ability to identify hazards and recommend practical corrective and preventive actions.
• Professional safety certifications are an advantage.
• Experience on major infrastructure, transportation, rail, or construction projects.
• Knowledge of risk management methodologies and occupational safety management systems.
• Experience working in multicultural and fast-paced project environments.
