Housekeeping Senior Supervisor

The Housekeeping Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the daily cleaning operations, ensuring high standards of cleanliness, hygiene, and safety across all assigned areas. The supervisor will lead, train, and monitor housekeeping staff to maintain a clean and safe environment for patients, guests, and staff. • Inspect work quality and ensure compliance with hospital/hotel hygiene and infection control standards. • Prepare duty rosters and assign tasks to housekeeping staff for day/night shifts. • Monitor inventory of cleaning chemicals, equipment, and linen. Raise purchase requests when needed. Team Management • Train new staff on cleaning procedures, chemical usage, and safety protocols. • Conduct briefings before each shift and address staff concerns. • Handle complaints from departments/sisters and take corrective action immediately. • Maintain discipline and ensure staff follow rules • Ensure proper use of PPE and safe handling of cleaning chemicals. • Follow waste management protocols including biomedical and general waste. • Report maintenance issues like plumbing, electrical, or equipment faults. • Maintain records of attendance, leave, cleaning checklists, and incidents. • Skills: • Knowledge of cleaning chemicals and equipment • Basic computer skills for reports • Good communication and team leadership skills • Ability to work in shifts including nights • *Experience: 10 years experience in housekeeping Senior Hospital and Hotel experience is an advantage. • *Skills: • Knowledge of cleaning chemicals and equipment • Basic computer skills for reports • Good communication and team leadership skills • Ability to work in shifts including night shifts
