Job Description The Housekeeping Attendant is responsible for ensuring guest rooms, villas, public areas, and assigned work areas are maintained to the highest standards of cleanliness, hygiene, and presentation. The role contributes to delivering exceptional guest experiences by providing a clean, comfortable, and welcoming environment in accordance with Gamra by Mantis and Accor brand standards.
Key Responsibilities
• Guest Room Cleaning: Clean and service assigned guest rooms, villas, and bathrooms in accordance with hotel standards. Make beds, replace linens and towels, replenish guest amenities, and ensure all room facilities are in proper working order. Dust, vacuum, mop, and sanitize all assigned areas. Ensure rooms are prepared efficiently to meet arrival and departure schedules. Report maintenance defects and safety hazards promptly.
• Public Areas: Assist in maintaining public areas, corridors, staircases, service areas, and back-of-house areas when required. Ensure housekeeping pantries and storage areas remain clean and well organised.
• Guest Service: Respond courteously to guest requests and provide assistance whenever possible. Report lost and found items in accordance with hotel procedures. Respect guest privacy and maintain confidentiality at all times.
• Inventory & Equipment: Use cleaning equipment and chemicals safely and correctly. Maintain housekeeping trolleys in a clean, organised, and fully stocked condition. Report damaged equipment or supply shortages immediately.
• Health, Safety & Compliance: Follow all housekeeping SOPs and Accor/Mantis brand standards. Comply with Saudi health, hygiene, and safety regulations. Wear the required PPE and maintain a safe working environment. Participate in fire, emergency, and evacuation procedures.
• Previous housekeeping experience in a hotel or resort is an advantage.
• Luxury hotel experience is preferred but not essential.
• Spoken and written English; Arabic is an advantage.
• Physically fit and able to perform manual cleaning tasks.
• Knowledge of cleaning chemicals, equipment, and hygiene standards.
• Good understanding of workplace health and safety practices.
• Knowledge of Saudi Labour Law and occupational health and safety requirements is an advantage.
