Scope of Job
To inspect, operate, maintain, troubleshoot and repair all Heating, Ventilation and Air Conditioning (HVAC) systems within the hotel and ensure optimal comfort, safety and operational efficiency for guests and colleagues. The Hotel Host – Engineering (HVAC) is responsible for preventive and corrective maintenance of chillers, AHUs, FCUs, ventilation systems, exhaust systems, pumps and associated controls.

**Qualifications**
------------------
* Diploma/ITI/Trade Certificate in Air Conditioning, Refrigeration or Mechanical Engineering.
• Minimum 2–5 years of HVAC maintenance experience.
• Hotel or hospitality experience preferred.
• Knowledge of chillers, cooling towers, AHUs, FCUs, VRF/VRV systems and BMS.
Main Duties and Responsibilities
Operational
• Perform preventive maintenance for all HVAC equipment.
• Respond promptly to maintenance requests and guest complaints.
• Inspect, repair and replace belts, motors, filters, thermostats and controls.
• Monitor chilled water systems and equipment performance.
• Maintain shift logbooks and maintenance records.
• Support installation and commissioning of new equipment.
Guest Service
• Maintain guest comfort through effective temperature and ventilation control.
• Ensure minimal disruption to guests during maintenance work.
• Provide courteous and professional service at all times.
Energy Management
• Monitor energy consumption.
• Recommend energy\-saving initiatives.
• Ensure HVAC systems operate at optimum efficiency.
Safety and Compliance
• Follow all health, safety and fire procedures.
• Handle refrigerants according to regulations.
• Use PPE and safe work practices.
• Report hazards and incidents immediately.
Emergency Response
• Respond to HVAC breakdowns and critical failures.
• Support emergency and evacuation procedures.
• Assist during power outages and equipment emergencies.
General Responsibilities
• Maintain grooming and attendance standards.

• Participate in training and development initiatives.
• Support other engineering disciplines when required.
