Geotechnical Testing Engineer

Job Overview SIQ SN is seeking a detail\-oriented Geotechnical Testing Engineer to oversee soil, rock, and material testing for civil engineering and infrastructure projects. In this role, you will conduct field investigations, perform laboratory analysis, and evaluate subsurface conditions to ensure compliance with engineering standards and structural safety. Key Responsibilities * Plan, coordinate, and perform field geotechnical investigations, including soil sampling, borehole logging, and field testing (e.g., SPT, CPT). * Execute laboratory testing on soil, rock, and aggregate samples (e.g., Atterberg limits, sieve analysis, consolidation, triaxial, and direct shear tests). * Analyze test results to assess soil strength, bearing capacity, permeability, settlement potential, and slope stability. * Prepare comprehensive technical reports, lab data sheets, and engineering evaluations for clients and project managers. * Ensure all testing procedures strictly follow relevant quality and safety standards (e.g., ASTM, ISO/IEC 17025, or local regulatory standards). * Calibrate, maintain, and manage lab equipment and field testing machinery. Requirements \& Qualifications * Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Geotechnical Engineering, Geology, or a related field. * 2\+ years of hands\-on experience in geotechnical field investigations and laboratory soil/material testing. * Proficiency with soil testing standards (ASTM, BS, or ISO) and geotechnical analysis software. * Strong analytical, reporting, and technical writing skills. * Valid driver’s license and willingness to perform field work as needed.
