**Generator Technician** **Location:** Doha, Qatar **Job Type:** Full\-Time Job Summary We are seeking a skilled and experienced **Generator Technician / Electromechanical Technician** to join our team in Qatar. The successful candidate will be responsible for the installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of diesel generators, electrical systems, and electromechanical equipment, ensuring maximum operational efficiency and reliability. Key Responsibilities * Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on diesel generators and associated equipment. * Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and control system faults. * Install, commission, and test generators and electromechanical equipment. * Carry out inspections and identify potential issues before breakdowns occur. * Repair and replace faulty components such as alternators, starters, control panels, batteries, sensors, and wiring systems. * Read and interpret electrical and mechanical drawings, schematics, and technical manuals. * Conduct load testing and performance evaluations of generators. * Ensure all work is performed in compliance with safety regulations and company standards. * Prepare service reports, maintenance records, and technical documentation. * Respond to emergency breakdown calls and provide on\-site technical support when required. * Coordinate with supervisors and customers regarding maintenance schedules and repair activities. Requirements * Diploma or Technical Certification in Electrical, Mechanical, Electromechanical Engineering, or related field. * Minimum **2–5 years of experience** in generator maintenance, electromechanical systems, or related technical roles. * Strong knowledge of: * Diesel generators (Cummins, Perkins, Caterpillar, FG Wilson, Volvo, etc.) * Electrical control panels and generators synchronization systems * Mechanical and electrical troubleshooting * Preventive and corrective maintenance procedures * Ability to use diagnostic and testing equipment. * Good communication and problem\-solving skills. * Ability to work independently and under pressure. * **Must be locally available in Qatar.** * **Valid Qatar Driving License is mandatory.** Preferred Qualifications * Experience with generator controllers such as DSE, ComAp, or similar systems. * Knowledge of ATS panels and power distribution systems. * Experience in field service operations and customer\-facing roles.
