Job Summary
A General Practitioner (GP) provides comprehensive medical care to patients in their homes, ensuring safe, accessible, and patient-centered healthcare services. The GP assesses, diagnoses, and manages patients’ medical conditions while coordinating with nurses, therapists, specialists, and the healthcare team to deliver quality care outside the traditional clinical setting
Key Responsibilities
• Conduct home-based patient consultations, medical assessments, and physical examinations.
• Diagnose and manage acute and chronic medical conditions in a home healthcare setting.
• Develop individualized treatment plans based on patient needs and medical history.
• Perform follow-up visits and monitor patient progress and recovery.
• Review laboratory results, diagnostic reports, and medical records.
• Prescribe medications and provide appropriate medical interventions.
• Manage elderly patients, post-operative cases, chronic disease patients, and patients requiring ongoing medical support.
• Coordinate with nurses, physiotherapists, caregivers, and specialists to ensure continuity of care.
• Provide health education and guidance to patients and family members regarding disease management, medication compliance, and preventive care.
• Identify changes in patient conditions and escalate cases requiring urgent medical attention.
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation of patient assessments, treatment plans, and progress notes.
• Ensure compliance with healthcare regulations, clinical standards, and company policies.
• Participate in research and development for services and product and quality improvement initiatives that contribute to patient safety and welfare.
License & Certification:
Valid DHA professional license and eligibility to practice
Education:
Medical Degree (MD / MBBS or equivalent)
Experience:
Previous experience in general practice, primary care, or home healthcare preferred
Skills and Competencies
• Strong clinical assessment and diagnostic skills, with areas specific to home based patient assessment, clinical diagnosis and treatment planning, chronic disease management, emergency recognition & escalation.
• Excellent patient communication and counseling skills.
• Ability to manage patients independently in a home environment.
• Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary healthcare team.
• Strong documentation and clinical reporting skills.
• Compassionate and patient-centered approach, with commitment to patient safety, confidentiality, and quality care.
Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)
• Patient Clinical Outcomes (% of patients achieving agreed treatment goals)
• Quality of Clinical Documentation (≥95% completeness and accuracy of patient medical records with timely completion)
• Patient Satisfaction & Communication (Patient satisfaction score ≥90%)
• Clinical Compliance & Patient Safety (100% compliance with clinical protocols, policies, and regulatory requirements)
• Consultation Efficiency & Service Delivery (Completion of scheduled consultations and follow-ups within required timelines)
• Patient Service Utilization (Effective recommendation and conversion of eligible patients into appropriate healthcare programs/services)
Working Conditions
• Location: 202 Capital Golden Tower, Business Bay
• Work Timings: 48 hours/week, 6 days per week (as per UAE labor law)
• May require occasional travels within Dubai for home visits
• Probationary Period of 6 months, with KPIs monitored monthly for performance feedbacks
