GARAGE MANAGER

The Garage Manager is responsible for the overall management, profitability, efficiency, and customer satisfaction of the garage operations. The role oversees workshop activities, staff performance, inventory control, sales growth, customer relationships, health and safety compliance, and business development initiatives to ensure high\-quality automotive repair and maintenance services. 1\. Workshop Operations Management * Plan, organize, and supervise daily workshop activities. * Allocate work effectively among technicians and mechanics. * Monitor repair quality and service standards. * Ensure vehicles are repaired and delivered on schedule. * Prioritize urgent repairs and customer requirements. * Monitor workshop productivity and efficiency. * Ensure proper use and maintenance of tools and equipment. 2\. Staff Leadership and Development * Lead, motivate, and supervise workshop personnel. * Conduct employee performance reviews. * Identify training and development needs. * Promote teamwork, accountability, and continuous improvement. * Manage disciplinary and performance\-related matters in accordance with Company policies. 3\. Inventory and Procurement Management * Monitor stock levels of spare parts, consumables, and workshop supplies. * Approve requisitions and purchases within authorized limits. * Coordinate with suppliers and negotiate pricing. * Minimize inventory losses and obsolete stock. * Ensure efficient inventory control procedures. 4\. Financial Management * Manage workshop operating budgets. * Monitor revenue, costs, and profitability. * Review labor and parts margins. * Control expenditures and reduce unnecessary costs. * Prepare operational and financial reports for management. 5\. Customer Service Management * Build and maintain strong customer relationships. * Review service estimates and quotations. * Handle customer complaints and escalations. * Ensure excellent customer satisfaction and service quality. * Maintain professional communication with customers at all times. 6\. Health, Safety and Compliance * Ensure compliance with Company safety policies and procedures. * Maintain a safe working environment. * Conduct regular safety inspections. * Ensure compliance with applicable laws and regulations. * Investigate accidents and implement corrective actions. 7\. Sales and Marketing Business Development * Develop new business opportunities. * Secure fleet maintenance contracts and corporate accounts. * Build relationships with government, private sector, and commercial clients. Marketing Activities * Plan and execute promotional campaigns. * Develop seasonal service offers and maintenance packages. * Support digital marketing initiatives. * Monitor online reviews and customer feedback. * Coordinate community engagement and promotional events. Revenue Growth * Increase workshop sales and profitability. * Promote preventive maintenance programs. * Implement upselling and cross\-selling initiatives. * Monitor sales performance against targets. Qualifications Education * Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Automotive Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field. Experience * Minimum 5–8 years of automotive workshop experience. * At least 3 years in a supervisory or managerial role.
