Gameplay Testing Analyst **Company:** Gametopemail **Location:** Al Khuwair, Muscat, Muscat Governorate, Oman **Salary:** OMR 1,400 per month **Job Type:** Full\-time Job Summary Gametopemail is seeking a detail\-oriented and analytical **Gameplay Testing Analyst** to evaluate video games across different development stages and platforms. The successful candidate will identify gameplay defects, assess functionality and player experience, document issues clearly, and work closely with developers and designers to help deliver polished, stable, and enjoyable games. Game\-testing roles commonly involve executing test plans, reproducing and documenting defects, verifying fixes, and providing player\-focused feedback. Key Responsibilities * Execute gameplay test plans and structured test cases across pre\-release and updated game builds. * Test gameplay mechanics, controls, missions, levels, progression systems, UI/UX, audio, graphics, and multiplayer functionality. * Identify bugs, glitches, crashes, performance problems, and unexpected gameplay behavior. * Reproduce reported issues and document clear steps for development teams. * Create detailed bug reports including severity, frequency, environment, and expected versus actual results. * Perform regression testing to confirm that reported defects have been successfully resolved. * Conduct exploratory testing to discover issues outside predefined test cases. * Test games across supported PC, console, mobile, and browser platforms where applicable. * Evaluate game functionality against design specifications and quality standards. * Provide constructive feedback regarding usability, gameplay flow, difficulty, balance, and overall player experience. * Capture screenshots, videos, logs, and other evidence when required to support defect reports. * Collaborate with developers, designers, producers, and other QA team members to resolve quality issues. * Maintain accurate test documentation, test results, and defect\-tracking records. * Participate in release testing, certification support, and post\-release quality checks. * Help improve testing procedures, coverage, and overall QA processes. Qualifications * Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Game Development, Software Engineering, or a related field is preferred. * 2–4 years of experience in game testing, software QA, gameplay testing, or a similar position. * Strong knowledge of software testing principles and quality assurance processes. * Experience creating and executing test cases and documenting defects. * Familiarity with bug\-tracking tools such as Jira, TestRail, or similar platforms. * Good understanding of PC, console, and/or mobile gaming environments. * Strong analytical and problem\-solving abilities. * Excellent attention to detail and written communication skills. * Ability to work independently and collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams. * Passion for video games and a strong understanding of different game genres is highly desirable.
