Furniture Carpenter

Key Responsibilities * Read and interpret furniture drawings, designs, and measurements. * Measure, cut, shape, and assemble wood and other materials accurately. * Manufacture and install furniture such as wardrobes, cabinets, tables, doors, counters, and other custom\-made items. * Operate carpentry tools and woodworking machinery safely and efficiently. * Perform finishing work, including sanding, polishing, edging, and minor repairs. * Inspect finished furniture to ensure quality, accuracy, and durability. * Carry out furniture repairs, modifications, and maintenance when required. * Ensure proper use and care of tools, equipment, and materials. * Maintain a clean, organized, and safe working area. * Follow workplace health and safety procedures. * Complete assigned work within required deadlines. Requirements * Proven experience as a furniture carpenter or similar role. * Good knowledge of woodworking techniques, materials, and furniture construction. * Ability to read drawings and take accurate measurements. * Skilled in using hand tools, power tools, and woodworking machinery. * Good attention to detail and commitment to quality. * Ability to work independently and as part of a team. * Physically fit and able to handle furniture and materials safely. * Knowledge of furniture finishing and installation is an advantage.
