* **Planning Lifts:** Study lift plans, calculate load weights, and choose the right cranes, slings, and rigging gear. * **Supervising Crews:** Lead riggers, assign daily tasks, and check that crew members have the right training and skills. * **Enforcing Safety:** Run toolbox talks, inspect gear for wear or damage, set up exclusion zones, and stop unsafe work right away. * **Controlling Operations:** Direct crane movements or work closely with operators using hand signals and radios. * **Maintaining Records:** Keep logs of equipment inspections, work permits, and daily project progress.
